Would you still recommend the Z26 over the Z23 for a stock GT daily driven ? (I don't have a 350)

seems like same pad compound, with 26 skewed towards more performance with stainless steel shims for heat dissipation. I’ve never used the 23s. The 26 has been perfect for me on the street with 2 different performance cars. Might come down to how you drive and any cost difference/consideration.

thanks for the feedback, I'll probably go with the Z26, I don't track but drive quite spirited and do a lot of WOT pulls

I agree. My only regret with the Z26 was waiting 2 years before installing them! I just wish they made them for my Porsche. I hate brake dust!

Good choice, make sure you follow the instructions and bed them properly.
I'm assuming it's just like a short brake in? accelerating and braking repeat kind of thing?

yes, but read the instructions. You need to 'cook' and cool the pads more than you would be inclined to do from instinct. Do it right, or don't bother.

I agree with the above, follow the brake pad bedding instructions and they will be fine. Does not take time at all. Just need a road without a lot of traffic to accelerate and brake.

I can attest to the importance of the bedding-in process. In fact, the first time I installed my Z26's, the initial bite was reduced (after bed-in) over OEM. But after a few hundred miles of street use, they improved and feel like OEM now. I have swapped over to OEM and back to these for a track day before. I bed-them in again each swap. Either way, the car performs well. I just get the benefit of no dust with the PowerStops. LOVE IT! I wish they made them for my other cars.

Installed the Z26 pads about a month ago....since I don't track my car I can't compare them to the stock pads for extreme breaking, but for average and sport driving there really no different IMO, except for the lack of brake dust that is no longer covering my wheels.......

I'm running the Z26 pads too. Put them on 2 yr ago. We were on a cruise last weekend to the Pennsylvania tail of the dragon. They worked great for that run. 3 of us running them and no one complained. Very happy with them and lees dust is a plus.
