OK, a bit of fun. You've accepted the job of Top Dog at Team Mustang. You're in charge of product planning for the next few years. Times are good and budgets are big! Lets see your plans for the next couple of years :)

'16MY
GT350 introduced - 525hp from a FPC 5.2 V8 (also available as a GT350R with rear seat delete, carbon fibre wheels)

California Special introduced for the GT, with lightly revised front and rear fascias, new interior trim and unique 19" wheels.

PP available on the automatic GT!

'17MY
Mach 1 reintroduced - DI 5.0 with 475hp, 10-speed auto/paddle shifters, revised front and rear fascias, Premium Plus interior with full leather extending to doors and dash, 20" wheels and Perf Pack as standard.

'18MY
Complete styling refresh across the range - revised headlamps (LED turn signals now incorporated into the headlamp assembly) & tail lamps, revised grille/bumper/fascia.......more differences between Ecoboost, V6, GT. Revised interior with another bump up in quality & tech.

GT uses a 460hp/430lb ft version of the new DI 5.0 (10-speed now standard autobox across the range)

Mach 1 still uses a 475hp DI V8 with Perf Pack as standard (either 6sp manual or 10sp auto/paddle shifters) . Features revised front/rear fascias, and Premium Plus interior with full leather extending to doors and dash.

Ecoboost 4 now up to 325hp (new base trim available to appeal to rental fleet)

Ecoboost 6 - V6 changed to a 2.7 "Nano" Ecoboost V6 with 385hp (the V6 is no longer the entry level model)

GT350 continues with the new sheet metal changes, but sticks with the 525hp FPC Voodoo.

GT500 introduced with a 675hp supercharged version of the 5.2 Voodoo engine, but with a cross plane crank. Slight wider front and rear fenders and 20" wheels as standard. Features a similar Premium Plus interior as the Mach 1 with full leather extending to doors and dash. Available with either 6sp manual or 10sp auto/paddle shifters

C'mon Ford, 'gis a job :ford:

C'mon, lets hear your wishes for the future model years

I just want a track capable version, with a high revving engine like the old Roadrunner. Don't care about huge power, flat plane crank, or increased displacement.

My list is:
- Square tire setup (maybe 275 all around)
- Lightweight wheels
- High quality, two-piece brake rotors (all four corners)
- Fixed piston calipers that allow easy pad changes (all four corners)
- Track oriented suspension tune (doesn't need to be super stiff, but should be very well damped)
- Would like to see some of the steel suspension sub-frames changed to aluminum for weight savings
- Would like to see a lightweight battery for weight savings
- Would like to get the premium stereo system (the nice touch screen)
- Would like CLOTH Recaro seats (for breathability and better grip)
- Would like the engine to rev to 7500 RPM and pull strongly to redline (460 HP would be fine)

Ideally the price would be ~$52,000 and weight would be about 100 - 150 lbs less than the GT with PP. I realize the weight loss is unlikely, but that would be a nice goal. The main price adders would be the high quality brakes, the aluminum suspension bits, the lightweight wheels, the battery, and the high quality shocks. Overall, a ~$10,000 premium over the GT with PP seems like a reasonable price increase. You'd maybe get some savings with the cloth seats rather than leather.

This^^^^ on the ecoboost. Six piston Brembos and a Torsen. A set of coilovers is a pipe dream but since we're dreaming that Ford will hear us anyways.... And a minimal sound deadening lightweight interior with the high end electrics. All of them.

GT gets an optional Tremec 6 speed. Either premium available with cloth or electrics available on base. (Still think the requirement of leather for all the things I want is ridiculous).

All cars. Remote start on manual transmission cars. I work in automation this is totally and safely doable for minimal expense, especially on an OEM level.

Has it ever occurred to anyone that they may bring the glass roof with the double bubble like the steel roof? Courtesy of the 50th LE side glass? I don't like glass roofs but that would be pretty cool!

here's what i'd do:
V6- low base price- positioned below 2.3EB to physiologically make I4 > V6
2.3EB- meet CAFE
2.3EB PP- New Mustang, bring in young buyers
GT- Classic Mustang
GT PP- Mustang
(GT) Boss or Mach1 "package" (not a model)- vs 1LE, released after GT350, using a few hand-me-down parts and answer to "GT350 is too expensive"
GT350- 911GT3 fighter... oh yeah Z/28 too
GT350 PP- carbon brake, carbon rim and bigger aero options, why not...
GT500- ~700hp supercharged 5.0, mine is bigger than Hellcat, not road race: no carbon brake option or carbon rim option; needed because GT350 will never be a drag car.
GT350R- road race car, rollcage and other race equipment. lets go to Le mans.

***I have NO inside info and not saying this is true
***Just for fun

GT350 $55,000
GT350 PP 65,000
GT350 PP & all options 70,000
GT350R 100,000?
2-6 months after GT350 starts delivery and all the orders in...
Boss or Mach1 "package" on GT base 40,000
Boss "package" on GT premium 45,000
Boss "package" on GT premium & all options 50,000
2-6 months after Boss starts delivery
GT500 60,000
GT500 PP 65,000
GT500 PP & all options 70,000

So after the GT350 reveal the few things I want in an upgraded track pack are:

1. Wheels/Tires
2. Recaros
3. Bigger brakes
