No kidding.

I was like, "Hey, how much of a difference can track mode REALLY make?"

Then I got onto a freeway from a 5mph roll......
So what was it like? I haven't tried track mode yet.

I LOVED that smell in the garage after the first 100 miles or so! Wow. New machine getting burned in!

It's pretty incredible. The really short pedal travel and the lack of traction control makes the 5.0 really go crazy.

Like a hair trigger on a .44 magnum.

It begs you... make its day.

Try it :)

Preferably on a closed road course. LOL!

If the smell bother you (+New cars offgas obnoxious phthalates etc) just throw in a small bag of activated charcoal in the passenger floor - available on Amazon for 8 bucks. Will absorb a serious amount of volatile organic compounds.

The smell should burn off shortly. The smell comes from excess sealant compounds, anti seize, excess lubricants and preservative compounds.

I'm at 150 miles and still get the oil smell when stopped at a light. Clearly an oil smell. Is this what others experienced ?

I wonder if you will have this with your LE. After 34 years of owning vintage cars and new High lines from Germans to Japanese to crossed flags... never had this smell when new. Therefore my question !

Yep other LE owners are reporting the smells but they dissipate after a few hundred miles.

MUST USE FULL SYNTHETIC!!!

Agree with what he said, just awesome
Had this issue... was fine first 5K miles. Dealer did oil change with a synthetic blend. Smell was in clothes and upholstery. Got full synthetic flush and refill at 10K and smell is gone. Its the oil.

Your dealer probably spilled some oil on the engine the first time.

Especially the clutch as I learned how to drive a manual on my last Mustang :headbonk:

Ford should market the Mustangs with "Buy a Mustang today! and get your next clutch free of charge ".
