Oh. The projectors are not illegal, because the car is parked when the projector is on. But if the projector was functioning while the car is in motion, it would definitely be a vehicle code infraction of some kind.

I daily drive a 2014 Explorer base and was dismayed when I brought my '15 GT home that it didn't have a digital speedo option like the Explorer... How about "My Color" changing the rest of the lights in the interior too so it's not all mismatched? I just leave my dash and ambience on Ice Blue...

That is definitely going to be illegal. It'll fall under the same VC section as neon under-glow and such. But, if you don't care about that... It's probably possible.
