Was supposedly mid to upper level of the door in water level. If you’ve ever messed with a flood car you know how they can be with chasing gremlins. There’s a lot more labor in that car then most realize. I wouldn’t be surprised of the car sold at the auction for 30-35k. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they bought it and then figured out the damage was much more significant and are trying to get out of it.

None of that shxt matters, if the wheels and spoiler are good, you can flip that all for 15-17k pretty easily.

Now your 25k into a base gt500, yank the drive train, send the trans out for overhaul, send the engine out to be sleeved and stroked for your 3.8 whipple.
20k tops on the high end.
Power probe the harnesses, replace and bad ecm... or strip it all and go Montes.

You can have a dope GT500 for around 50k give or take a few grand.

And you'll see this more and more as prices continue to decline.

Understand that if it was salt water the salt will undoubtedly be impossible to be gotten rid off completely unless you strip the car to bare metal. It will affect all your wiring it will affect the computer it will effect the foam on the seats the leather on the seats and ultimately affect the body causing corrosion. You don’t want a flooded car much less one that’s flooded with salt water. But your money so you can do what ever you want with it.

I would pass, too risky. Also who knows if mold has set in, in the interior. We have a home that was affected by Ian, luckily a modern home built up, but still had 26" of water in the garages (empty luckily). Point here is that the flood water is not clean pure water. It has nasty mud and silt in it. That will get into EVERYTHING.

Also with regard to the post of this car being on the streets again, this is in the listing: " This car has a certificate of destruction which means it cannot be registered. "

Back in 2006 i bought about 50 late model trucks from the Katrina flood and brought them to indiana out of that 50 there was only about 10 that ended up being saveable the salt water just turned anything aluminum to dust basicly so if your using it for parts i say go for it but if your planning to rebuild it probably the chances arnt very good but whatever you decide good luck

Then hit the buy it now. Should be a walk in the park for you. I’ve literally done hundreds of builders and wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole.
