Following a series accident as a kid, I can only drive autos. So thats all I have every driven.

All autos were garbage in the 80s and 90s but they are much better these days across most cars.

So Auto for me ha ha

Like it has been said; a manual all day, every day, and twice on Sundays.
More fun, more control and perhaps a higher resale as long as it’s a Tremec.
If you want engaged driving, get the manual. If you are okay with an automatic, just buy a Prius.
There; that shouldn’t ruffle too many feathers.. :)
Manuals are clunky, slow, cumbersome, less efficient and just as fun as any automatic.

Let's see how many feathers that ruffles.

I would get the 10 speed all day of it wasn't crap. So, 6 speed auto in a 2017 got my money. No regrets. My other two mustangs were 5 speed manuals. If I feel the need to shift gears, I just jump on my Harley

I bought a PP1 6 speed in 2020 brand new. Great car. Ran great for many years even with a supercharger. Never had issues with the MT82.
Now I own a 10 speed and enjoy it more. If I lived out in a small town or an area with some nice twisty roads. I'd prefer a 6 speed. But I live in a Grid type area with red lights every 100 yards. Traffic every morning and every afternoon. The automatic is easily more enjoyable.

I currently drive a 22’ GT boosted making 800+ whp and the car has been Tremec T56 Magnum swapped.

Amazing experience every drive and highly recommended.

They both have there benefits 10speads r insane for racing they just stay at such a high rpm it's pretty sweet, but when I was looking for my s550 I only looked for stick cars I just like the feel and the joy you get out of driving stick maybe when im to old to deal with a clutch ill change or building a full race car but im very happy with my 6speed

Stick!
If not for stick availability I would not own my ‘23 S550, it is not a practical vehicle at all, I bought mine ONLY for the stick (and accompanying sweet sound)!

[it is not a daily driver, forgot to mention that]

I've been driving manuals exclusively for the past 33 years since getting my license. I really enjoy the process of manipulating the clutch and gearbox for street driving. It can make an otherwise uninteresting car at least somewhat fun to drive.

I found that the long gearing in the 2018+ MT82-D4 resulted in sluggish acceleration off the line when stock. Had to rev it past ~5000 to really feel it pull. This was resolved when I switched to E85. It now rips from off the bottom all the way to 7800 rpm. MUCH better than on the OEM gas tune. Kind of feels like a larger engine now. I bet a TVS2650 or Whipple makes it feel like a big block with the rear tires quivering in fear. 😉

If I was most interested in drag or roll racing it'd be a tuned 10R80. Maintains engine speed in the powerband >6000 rpm at all times and shifts faster than any manual.

If I was most interested in road circuit track driving, it'd probably be a DCT for the rapid shifts, consistency, smoothness, and keeping the chassis settled.

With the amount of traffic on today's roads I have to say Auto, my last car was a stick and after an hour in traffic I was wishing I had an Auto so that is why I have an Auto now.
Modern Autos are amazing and though I know some have had trouble with the 10R80 the majority are faultless.
