Tanks for the feedback. GTP I hope you are getting one for free with all your efforts to advertise this item. I really want to have a black ball with silver stripes though and unfortunately, that is not an option (yet).

I think I'll wait and pay the extra money out of preorder so I can see what the final product looks like first.

Honestly, I'm torn between what color I'd want. Black, red, or brushed...

Also, I hope there's more color options in the future for the actual shaft. I think an anodized black version would be very popular as well.

I have some precut grabber blue stripes 1/4" wide that I will see if I can apply without wrinkles. Shelby stripes on the shift knob, FTW.

Should look good! I am torn between wanting to do an 8 Ball or the black with silver/grey stripes. From what I can see it is unlikely to work with this set up because the balls are not interchangeable with other ones on the market (sickspeed, speeddawg, etc.) I guess I just want to see more and get other's experiences before pulling the trigger.

Has anyone who ordered heard anything? I haven't heard a thing, not even a confrontation. Just curious

Let's be patient until the end of next week.
I'll shoot a note to them later today to see if they're on track and see if they have a more solid date for shipping.

Thanks! Definitely wasn't being impatient, just was wondering what was up since there was zero communication since the order and money was taken so I was hoping for a little info lol.

From my one and only phone conversation with Ilja, I got the feeling that 1) WMG may not be his only job, 2) he went on a scheduled one-week vacation, 3) he updated the plastic piece to metal, 4) was waiting for the final parts to arrive to begin assembly, and 5) he needed to get the imported balls out to the automotive painter. Note that #5 is also JIT custom order for each of us.

He said he had hoped to ship the third week of this month.

Also, unlike other large vendors he obviously does not spend his time monitoring this thread, which is fine with me.
Note that I have no vested interest in his business - I am just waiting for my order like everyone else. I was also fine with him charging my CC, because I realize that helps to offset his initial investment for minimum order parts cost.

I am so close to pulling the trigger on this. I agree, starting something like this is not easy and getting an initial product out there with customer review is what makes or breaks things. The more I watch that one video, the more I think I want this. If the balls could be swapped with other brands, this would per perfect!

I agree I'm certainly not impatient. I've backed a few kickstarter campaigns, and a few that failed to ship anything. I understand the challenges small shops like that, so I'm much more lenient when timelines slip. I know they're working to put out the best quality product they can for the price they promised. I'm jut hoping I didn't overwhelm him by posting it here :)

I doubt you did. My order# was 10. It is a pretty simple part, and he has obviously prototyped it a couple of times to work the kinks out.

I get the personalized shift knob desire, but I am not that hard to please in this department. Probably once he gets some sales going, he may consider and develop a version2 that allows for screw-on knobs. Maybe even one that opens beer bottles.

Hoping for the version 2, it would probably reduce the cost as he would not have to worry about procurement or painting. I am getting very close to just pushing the button for a black know and just being done with it. I love the low profile look over the stock unit.
