My ‘19 GT is only a month old. If I use the wiper spray when driving, the streaks left by the wipers makes it worse.

Am I missing something?

Check the edges of the blades for stuck on crap or irregularities.

Contamination on windshield clean it
Yep, go to YouTube & search for any number of how-to vids for a squeaky-clean windshield. Also use isopropanol to wipe down the blades or swap-out for a high-quality set of blades. If you use an automated car wash don’t get spray wax...it mucks up the windshield.

Ok thanks for replies. I’ll clean the blades. Have never gone thru a car wash or waxed the car yet. I do have a glass cleaner bottle in the garage that I clean the windshield with and it works well.

Also verify what is in the res.
One time the (vw) dealer used concentrate instead of the diluted solution and it was a mess...

My passenger blade left a couple of small lines (like there were nicks in the blade) from day one. On my previous car I used Bosch blades, the ones without a frame. They lasted forever and always wiped perfectly and never chattered.

I'm with the OP. It should wipe clean. Ford needs to work on wiper arms and springs, and even the blades.

You don't know what the dealer used to wash the car in pre-delivery or while it was on his lot. My experience with oem Ford blades on six special ordered Mustangs is that they are longer lasting than any aftermarket blade.

I have to agree. The oem blades lasted me over a year. Daily driver in heat, rain, sleet, and snow. If I hadn’t already bought some Bosch blades on sale when I bought the car, I probably would’ve just purchased the oems again.

I barely know how to even turn my wipers on in my Mustang. Drove it one time in rain because I went to get my headers installed that day by a shop for cheap and that was the only day I've driven it in rainy conditions. I definitely had to look at the stalk to see what I was doing, lol.

First world second car problems.

I wasn't driving in the rain. I was cleaning my windshield off or attempting to.

In case anyone cares l, I’m going on year 8 with Silblades on my Jeep. Was driving in a blizzard this weekend and can’t believe how well they were working after spending 7 years and 70k miles doing their job.
