I traded my 'vert a year ago (for a 2019 FiST) but still visit these forums to see how the community is doing and because I read many online car sites. ANYWAY, I too had the A-Pillar leak and found that keeping all the rubber seals METICULOUSLY clean using a good household degreasing liquid and...
Even though I traded my '17 vert for a Fiesta ST 3 months ago I still lurk here and want to jump in for you guys because I had the same problems with my roof. First, the roof is manufactured by a vendor selected by Ford. Unfortunately the mechanics at your Ford dealer know little about fixing...
For several reasons I traded in the Ecovert last Monday and picked up a 2019 Fiesta ST (aka "FiST). Strangely, having been a Mustang enthusiast since April, 1964 I never bonded with mine so it was easy to let it go.
I will be posting the Love the Drive wind deflector, stubby antenna and door...
6-way is forward/back, up/down, cushion tilt up/down. 4-way lacks cushion tilt. Power lumbar on the driver's seat is not counted in the adjustment number. Fart sound made by leather seat rubbing against console during forward/back adjustment remains standard.
I would like the side stripe without the lettering but since you have the racing stripes I think those make your car look great without the side stripes. One or the other is my preference.
Just consider the silicone application part of your normal maintenance. I've had my 'vert for 28 months and do the clean & silicone the gaskets routine about every 4 months. It's amazing how much grime accumulates on all the gaskets so it's just part of keeping your convertible in good condition.
At 68 I’m retired and moving to Baja California (Mexico) this spring. Taking the Mustang to enjoy cruising the peninsula but it will be my last Mustang and likely new car forever. IF I get another vehicle down the road it will likely be a used AWD.
Good points, Fordever!
Our top -a totally new design for 2015 is manufactured by a vendor working to Ford specs. I suspect that you are right that the glitch is NOT with the quarter window but with the gasket in the top itself. After all the window raises completely when the top is down with...
Thatguy, Ford and the Top’s manufacturer have probably fine-tuned the operation, alignment & fit of these rear quarter windows so that late models work correctly.
My ‘17 left rear window has never been an issue, only the right. Luckily my 3 or 4 months interval application of WD40 Silicone Spray...
My ‘17 Platinum White is now just past 2 years old and has maybe 3 minor chips on the front end that the Ford touchup paint fixed. However someone “dinged” my passenger door on the ridge line ...NO dent in the metal but chipped the paint away down to primer in a spot less than 1/8” in diameter...
