The dealership have just phoned me to tell me that my Mustang has arrived with them!

One of my requests was to keep the Window Sticker.

There are telling me that the Window Stickers are like tissue paper and rip to pieces when they try to remove them as they are stuck all the way around.

My options are for the dealership to try and be careful or for the Sticker to stay on the car and for me to remove it.

I know some on here have their Sticker and have it framed. Is it as bad to remove as the dealer is making out or are they telling fibs?

No it's very easy tell them to leave it on and you remove it, it's like normal paper if not thicker

It's only the outer edge that's sticky, no more sticky than a post it. Was putting some stuff away in our spare room and came across it, definitely not 'tissue' like.

Thanks chaps

I thought my BS alarm had been triggered as if they were that "tissue" like, printing them would be an issue as they'd burn in a laser printer and the ink from an inkjet would run.

I shall speak to him and tell him! He did actually offer for me to go and do it myself, so I shall do exactly that.

My dealer rescued mine all in one piece, the edges were slightly crinled that all. Basically they can't be arsed the lazy ********rs

Just download your own copy from the website. I laminated mine and have it on the garage wall. I framed one and must get round to hanging it in the study.

UK dealers aren't used to them after all.

I think part of the problem is is that the vast majority of cars they sell are "white goods" cars that Fiestas, Focuses and Mondeos where the buyers couldn't care less about "silly" things like not drilling the front number plate or window stickers. Now though, they're selling a car that so many people have spent years dreaming about.

Nothing 'tissue' like about them at all.

Asked for mine to be removed intact, and intact it was (popped down while the guy was doing the PDI and he'd already removed it and had it ready for me), totally unmarked and near as good as the day it was printed!

These things are designed to sit in the windows of all cars manufactured in the US on everything from the blisteringly hot/humid lots of Florida/Mississippi and arid/dry lots of Arizona, and bollock freezing lots of Michigan/North Dakota, so bearing in mind the average paper parking ticket that you leave inside your car on a hot summers day dries and crinkles up after just a few hours, utter bullshit is the only reasonable assumption to come to!

Next they'll be telling you your car has been adequately undersealed... :D

Visit: http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/Ford.html

Type your VIN number in and away you go!

Just I've got a copy of mine from the site above - so have a "backup" plan

Mike
This is what I've done, printed my own on photopaper, can't remember where I put the thing now... but can always print another, the official one is cool and all, but they're the exact same IMO . Except printing yourself it's less tattered (my cars was all creased and looked a bit dodgey)

Does anyone know if the research maniacs link still works.
I'm picking up a new car at the end of June but it has been built since last September but the site states the window sticker is not yet available???
