Has anyone got one? My front plate is currently....erm in my window and I think it's about time I got it on the car properly. I was thinking of a sticker with correct padding etc but something just a tiny bit smaller than the standard UK height.

thanks in advance!

stevec has one. I'm sure most of the no plate websites have them though. Not sure on their legality

Yep and here it is. Not sue about legality either but I carry the 'proper' one with 3m tape just in case.

I think the only legality is the size and spacing of the lettering. An aluminium plate will shape perfectly and, more importantly, if you've not got a steady hand, a sticker, once stuck on, its on ;).

I was lucky that the dealer, straight away, asked if I wanted ali plates and to leave off the plate holder.

It's more than you'd think, but my theory is that it's not taking the piss, so generally gets ignored:)

Character Height: Bike 64mm Car 79mm

Character Width: Bike 44mm Car 50mm

Character Stroke:Bike 10mm Car 14mm

Space between characters: Bike 10mm Car 11mm

Space between groups: Bike 30mm Car 33mm

Top, side & bottom margin: Bike 11mm Car 11mm

Actually, they are quite forgiving. I put mine on slightly crooked first time and it came back off and refitted. It has not shifted since.

Photos make your plate's lettering look larger  Especially the height.

As I said, mm's in it ;). But it is illegal, apart from the spacing/height, you know that though, don't you?

I've bought an aluminium plate for the front to get the bend and I was going to stick it on with pads.

Are these stick on plates better?
