I heard of people leaving traction control on and hammering it out of the hole and letting TC control wheel spin. I know TC controls wheel spin by applying brakes and reducing power, but could applying rear brakes also fry your clutch if the power reduction doesn't come on first? Anyone have this issue or worry about this. I still have the stock clutch and don't want to waste it.

My stock clutch looked like new when I pulled it after 3000 miles with my whipple. I always turn off the nannies before I drive it.

So would just pushing he button once do the job, or would you have to hold it for the 5 seconds? I thought just pushing once does the job of allowing the wheels to spin?

Thanks for the replies guys, always amazed how this topic is all over the place. To me and others here seems turning off TC and advanced track (holding button for 5 sc) is what most of us do and to me keeps the brake from holding back wheel spin and toasting the clutch. However I know Dustin at Whipple says he often would let TC keep it under control when launching. The reason I asked this becuase everyone and a while I forget to turn off TC/AT and when I nail it and get lack of wheel spin I cringe at the thought of the hurting its putting on my clutch.
