Does anyone know if editing your order will change the "Ordered On" date or delay the order? My order was the first placed at the dealership, and I'd hate to loose that first order spot.

I edited mine and it had no impact on my "Ordered On" date. It is still in Order Processing with no VIN. Sadly, it still is as of today! ;-)

It depends on what you're changing, most options can be changed without effecting the order but there are some things you can't change like body type or engine or certain packages without reordering.

There are people who made changes and the ordered on date changed.

The only thing that is certain is that cotus is beta at best.

I'm not changing anything now, so I don't have to worry. I was planning to get the 68B package for the soft-touch panels, but I just got a confirmation from Ford that the soft-touch is not part of the 68B package. According to Ford Services its part of the Eco and GT Premium trim packages.

This is contrary to other information "from Ford" on the site, and I'd be curious to know what was said and who said it. It's been pretty clear that the soft touch comes on 68B, AP and LE only, or so we have been believing.

Yep, Old 5 Oh is correct. Just to back it up with personal experience, I sat in the Ecoboost Premium trainer car at 3 different dealerships here (same car making the rounds) and it did not have the soft touch panels.

That was really the only part of the car that truly felt "cheap" to me. There are a couple other things I didn't really love, but the quality on everything else seemed pretty good.

I changed my order from base to premium and it changed my "Ordered On" date. I then asked Trish here if it really changed my date and she said no, it just showed in the system that a change to my order was made on that date.

I understood that you can change options without really changing the order, like adding 68B or changing from 400A to 401A. But changing the MODEL, from base to premium, was more serious and did change the order date.

But after everything else we have learned about the priority system, I'm not sure that's very important. I'd encourage people to get it like they want it so long as it's still In Order Processing and without a VIN.

Changed mine today to get different wheels and my order date in Cotus stayed the same and was updated to show the new wheels.

I can also confirm that I changed my order (originally placed on 8/1, updated on 8/29), and my original order date as reflected in COTUS did not change, but the new DORA now reflects 'JOB #2 ORDER' (which I assume I was before, but just wasn't documented).

Mine is a retail order, priority 12 (still in 'Order Processing' as of 9/18). I assume if you tried to change your order AFTER it is picked up for BLEND, then that is a totally different story.

FWIW, the change was to drop Recaros and add 68B.

I actually ended up editing my order with the same changes. When I realized my short girl friend wouldn't be able to see over the dash in the Recaros I changed to the stock and added 68B. And the order date didn't change.

I did catch that the dealer lied to me when I was sent the order sheet to confirm the changes. I was told I was priority 10 and a stock order, in reality I'm priority 13 and a retail order. But oh well, as long as I get the car this year I'll be happy.
