I've updated my order to include the Navigation and Security package after researching on this forum and thought I would be better off with them than without. My question is now that my order has been updated, will it cause a delay in the production, or moved to the back of the line?

It shouldn't, but even if it does you will still be happier in the end. I really don't think it will but have no idea to be honest.

Check www.cotus.ford.com and make sure it still shows your original order date. If your existing order was just changed then it shouldn't cause any delay. If they canceled and reentered the order then it will show a new order date on there and that would probably delay it. Your first date should still show up though.

I haven't been able to track my order since placing it on June 7th. My dealer says that website cannot track Canadian orders, and Tricia isn't able to track it either.

I believe until you have a VIN, you can make changes to your order and it wont effect a delay.

Oh didn't realize that. Do you know if it was stock or retail? If it was stock it could've been pulled on 7/10, which was the last week before the scheduling delay.

Stock order (priority 20). When you mean pulled you mean delayed?

Pulled, as in assisned a VIN and scheduled. Do you know if they got a VIN yet? Since you ordered a month before the delay & it's stock.

Not sure, my dealer said theres no new news and its still "unscheduled". I was able to add Navigation and Security package to the order yesterday.

Yeah if it's unscheduled then no VIN so the changes won't delay it..

Mine has a VIN but not scheduled, so I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion.

Actually you can change anything that is not a "commodity" up until it is "locked" Pretty much anything that is optional is a non commodity. I haven't seen what the commodities are on this one yet, but usually there are not many.

Yes you should! I updated the color on mine from black to Deep Impact Blue and it updated on the http://www.cotusb.ford.com/ website within a few minutes of me hanging up the phone with the dealer. I would call them back and see what's going on

What if you change from a base GT to a premium GT, is that acceptable without a delay if you don't have a VIN?
