With all due respect, please read some of the links provided below. Its a well known fact that despite being marketed as a street tire (with a 180 tread wear rating), it behaves very much like an r-comp. As such, Ford not delivering R model cars in the winter and im sure there will be a nice section in the owners manual about winter driving/storage.

Its the reality of the situation, up to you to except it or not
I have some property in Nebraska for you. Ocean front. j/k

On a serious note, I believe we will see these cars delivered or produced over the winter months. I have run a similar compound tire on my car for years. Yeah under 40* they get a little slick, but I don't drive the car in that weather on purpose.

C'mon guys. This tire discussion is getting ridiculous. Someone like PP00001 (or anyone for that matter) is not going to drive this car in the winter months.

The percentage of these cars that will be driven daily is probably like .00001%.

Let's get back to more important discussions like is this car faster or slower than a Z/28 and will the recent discount in Z/28s cause a production delay in the GT350 because they can't move them off the lots due to the .003 seconds faster 1/4 mile

I see your point PP0001, Assuming anyone of us gets his/her "R" before winter, and its now 20 degrees out side, and the GT350 R is just sitting in the garage (non Heated, as is 99.9% of all are not) are we to understand that just sitting there they could crack, chip? What are we suppose to put the car up on jacks in our garage and but the tires in our bedrooms under soft blankets? Surely this is not the case..right?
This actually is exactly the case, and there are a number of Z06 owners that had dealerships receive their vehicles with cracked tires from being transported via non-heated means. If it gets cold, and you have a non-heated garage, you'll probably either want to invest in a heater or bring the tires inside.

Yes we are all aware of that document, but either that document is fake, inaccurate, misleading or the FP bosses and employees that everyone has asked this question to recently are lying.

We will find out the truth in a couple of weeks

On the other site there's a post that states seeing R's currently being produced through November 30th, so it must not be set in stone

I can't be the only one who thinks English isn't Donson's first language

The information that was given to me yesterday regarding no Rs to be built November - Feb was "That was the initial plan but the plan was also to be on schedule. We are behind but we won't stop building them until we fill our commitments"

When I asked him to clarify what "fill our commitments" meant he simply said "that any one that has an allocated R will get their cars before we stop production".

Got my information from my buddy who owns a Dealer here in Dallas after he text his zone manager. He sent me the text messages. Like said above I guess we will find out here in a couple weeks. I for one hope my guy is right.

I have to read that as:

The cars that are in the pipeline (16 according to the link below) will be built before they stop for the winter

Is that how others read it???

http://gt350.registryclubs.com/pdf/20151014_2016.pdf

I certainly want to see Donson's R in person sooner than later (same dealer as my car). Heck, I haven't seen a single one in person yet...

Looks like 18.

17 with Tech 1 Base

Sure would be good if we can get that confirmed.

Anybody see their VIN?
