100% Right, except for the FJG, which makes up a such huge percentage (around 40% last I heard) of the '21 Mach 1 fleet. Other colors will probably out pace FJG in price, especially when the newness wears off.
Lots of Superchargers available for an easy-ish, bolt on of 200+ extra Horsepower.
40% of a production of around 6000 is still rare: That comes to about 2,400 give or take. We are talking the 480HP cars

The same dollars will buy you a 69 to72 REAL muscle car
Well, I think that's a totally different market. One would likely be a garage/weekend-only nostalgia toy, with potential up-keep and reliability concerns, whereas the other is a brand new car with a warranty, superior handling, modern technology with all the safety and creature comforts, perfectly suitable for a DD.

But most of those you are stuck driving in a straight line. 🤣
The old Muscle, as much as I love them (Had a '67 S-code Fastback) can't keep up with the new stuff, especially around corners. The old stuff is for collectors mainly now, the market has gone crazy on fastbacks especially. 😠

Most of them can hardly do that by todays standards :cwl:
there’s a 69 Mach 1 local to me that I keep looking at but I could buy 2 new ones for what they want for it

Yea, my 390GTA would do mid-13s, engine had an Edelbrock Intake, Holley 780, Hooker full length headers, Mallory Unilite ignition and an Isky cam. The real fun thing was, it came stock with 4 wheel Drum Brakes, with no self adjusters PITA! Even with wider BFG T/A Radials and Koni shocks it was only a little better around corners than my mom's Granada.

It's because the 2021 Mach 1 is a classic, and pretend Japanese warlords are just crying that they realized it too late. Typical.

Mach 1 isn't a parts car its just a Bullitt PP2 car painted silver with a sticker. Be sure to verify your color of your Mach 1 with Steeda because they may not offer you a signature package.

I wasn't aware the bullitt came with 11" wide rear wheels and a tremec 🤔

Did not realize there was a Bullitt PP2. So the Shelby GT500 is a parts bin from the Bullitt?

If we delete this thread then other S550 owners won't have anywhere to go to make them feel better about themselves...

i like this thread. it consolidates all of the hot takes in one place. can you imagine if every time someone came up with a complaint regarding the mach 1 they started a new thread?

I think a lot of people cant or don't look past the basic power numbers. Like, hello, there's a lot more to a car than the horsepower. Case in point, the guys at track days in their supercharged monsters, that overheat their super fast straight line cars after a few laps, or that cant drive in a straight line, or go round a corner, or apply power out of corners without ending up in the grass.

Well lap times show it. Trouble is you cant easily compare that vs someone else and tbh most people will never track their car. Its like id they had some premium drag package with all sort of tweaks that made it better at the strip. Id have a hard time caring about it.
