Why is there so much hate from the 2011+ community?

You miss the weather here? Its a sunny 60 degrees today. You should see the people in my office. Women have their chinchilla on and boys with the Harley leather jackets and layers upon layers for both parties, I am talking scarfs and beanies. You would think it was snowing outside... Any chance to wear extreme winter clothing down here!
Hell, I WORK half the year overseas in the Middle East so I always get a chuckle when it drops below 60 degrees in the desert and the locals are seen wearing heavy ski parkas and Soviet style winter headgear! :headbonk:

nothing new sadly.

Mostly jealous people and you'll see hate within the S197 crowd.

2010s hate 11s because of the 5.0 upgrade

2012s hate 13s and 14s because of who knows what.

Anywhere you go there will be intermodel hate.
Life does that sometimes heh....

Gibson cat back was 5hp on my personal car.
How many times did you run it on the dyno after making the switch? I remember reading in another thread one forum member installed the Gibson system and saw an intial 5 hp increase as well. But after a few more runs and allowing some time to pass, the ecu adapted and his gains jumped up to around 20 hp I believe. If anyone else remembers reading this post, please correct me should I be mistaken.

Oh the joys of computer controlled everything. There's no way to know when it's running in it's optimal state for it's current configuration. Of course, it's probably not smart enough to be in it's truly optimal state, just more optimal than others.

20hp seems like snake oil, I must say.

I remember reading that as well in the mod forums.

Would you also have it "running right up there" with the 1LE in terms of horrid street ride feel? Sure, it would be really nifty to have a car that can hang with the 1LE on Willow Springs AND be in comparisons with BMW M3s in terms of ride quality, but let's be a little realistic here.
I'm going to guess that considerable difference exists between what you consider to be "horrible street ride feel" and what it might take before I would.

But I still think they could have got within about half a second (as opposed to 1.5 seconds) without making the ride all that bad and without having to do all that many things much differently.

I've yet to read a piece that featured the 1LE that didn't mention how poorly it handled bumpy surfaces.

Yeah, you got me beat there. That sucks. You got it back already right? Everything good with it now?
As good as it can be... everything else is perfect... double checked on the thud coming from the trans going in first or reverse... actually normal... gears kicking in... sometimes a lil tough to close the trunk but now I just use 2-hands on the outer edges of the trunk and shut...seems easier... I can live with that... a far as the rear panel, honestly not too noticeable for a regular joe but someone who loves perfection will.... Transmission is finally smoothing out and mpg getting better every time I drive it... only down fall I would say would be the size of the fuel tank...seems to suck the fuel right up especially with some spirited driving but the fill ups don't feel like a blow like my 26 in the truck

Try having your AC Compressor needing to be replaced as soon as you drive off the lot with less than 50 miles on the car :( I assume it was a fluke, but having to be given a loaner car for 3.5 days after purchasing my new baby was a disappointment.
Ouch

I suspect that the C7 Z51 and Z/28 are both firmer still. I've ridden in each (actually got to drive both for short distances as well) and I wouldn't call the ride quality of either of those cars "poor". I have no doubts that I could daily-drive either one indefinitely.

Of course the magazine road tester who also gets to drive a wide variety of relatively soft-riding luxury cars is going to be less tolerant of a slightly to somewhat stiff-legged ride, and certainly so in print. It's both his luxury and his curse to have that wide a variety of driving opportunities.

You don't even have to travel overseas to see that. Just head to Miami and watch what happens when it's that cool. Same exact thing! :)

For the straightline folk who prefer the drag strip, I'm sure the S550 is somewhat of a disappointment. For those of us who track on a road course, the S550 is ideal. I just hope I can pass some Boss 302s to prove my point. =)
