Why is there so much hate from the 2011+ community?

I'm buying a new car in the next couple months, and I unfortunately had to rule it out just based on its looks. I don't hate the way it looks, but nor do I love it. And that's the problem, the design inspires no emotion in me. And it's unfortunate because in every other way it has a lot going for it.

Silly question.... have you seen it in person?

I think the S550 is a good looking "car," but I don't think the base models are good looking "Mustangs." The upcoming GT350 looks frickin' awesome, though, so I will be keenly interested in other specialty S550 models that Ford brings to market.

Because I've been a die hard drag racer for 32 years, I hope that people understand why I chose a '14 GT over a '15 GT. I knew the IRS would need to be fortified to withstand repeated high rpm drag launches (refer to Ford's 99 challenge and BAMA's world record '15 GT videos for proof). The solid axle '14 needs no suspension upgrades when paired with an automatic trans for drag duty.

So, for Ford to earn my money on an S550, all I ask for is something wicked looking like the upcoming '16 GT350 while being dragstrip ready and affordable. I'm sure they're working on just such an animal as we speak.

You want to see the 2011+ GT bring some hate, mention the 03/04 Cobra. Sit back and watch 20 pages of crying.

Oh, man, I love the Terminators! I always wanted one, but never found the right one at the right time.

I gave up on another forum because there is one member that seeks out every post about 2015's and does his best to piss all over the subject. There are pages for the other year cars, including his, but he seems to take joy hanging out in the '15 pages stirring up the stink.
I think I know that forum, or the one I'm thinking of is the exact same.

the same reason an iphone 5S owner hates the iphone 6, or a samsung galaxy s4 owner that hates the s5, etc.

they no longer have the superior, latest and greatest product.
Good comparison...lol though I have the s4... only reason other than not sure for upgrade the differences between the two were not significant enough for me to get an s5... besides, the next best thing comes out next year. Being the new note and s6 which both have a a significant processor and opsys update as well as several other things... but even then... there will always be something newer right around the corner.... the new mustang hit all my points in the desire to upgrade... coming from an Audi.. is pretty significant and Ford has come a very long way with the mustang compared to the past ones

For those that have been around the Mustang scene for awhile, this isn't at all new.

Fox Bodies called SN95s fat, or ugly, or worst yet "The Probe looks better." SN95's didn't like the look in the mid cycle refresh to SN95 "Edge." There was a subset of SN95 who said the S197s were ugly, big, etc. Then, when they were refreshed, there were S197 05-09's that hated the look of the 2010+ with the "fat rearend" and the black plastic lower body valences.

I haven't even begun to mention when just taillights changed (e.g. 94/95 to 96-98), or engines changed from Pushrod to Modular, etc. I just ignore it now because I've seen it happen so many times.

It's absolutely nothing new and will unfortunately happen again in 4-5 years. I don't take it personally. I've been a life long Mustang fan and always will be.
This! +1

it's actually not that great of a comparison now that i think about it, lol.

i know most cell customers are on a 2 year upgrade cycle, so upgrading every year may not be justifiable if you can just wait an extra year to get the subsidized price of a new smartphone.

some can upgrade annually like i do, if they have 2 lines. in my case, i give the hand-me-down to my wife, so both of us upgrade yearly.

and i'm not so sure if ford has come a long way. i guess they did. but i'm pretty bummed that my car is already in service because the brake lights dont work. they said it's the BCM (body control module) and are waiting for the part to come in today. pretty amazing, the car needed to have a computer replaced already at 800 miles.

That sucks though I am not having the same issues. Only one is the trunk alignment... That got done but seems to be a pain to shut. Now found a new way to do it so hopefully it is consistent... everything else is great @-only 750 miles

Try having your AC Compressor needing to be replaced as soon as you drive off the lot with less than 50 miles on the car :( I assume it was a fluke, but having to be given a loaner car for 3.5 days after purchasing my new baby was a disappointment.
