Depends on your point of view. Most reviewers are calling it a major improvement for daily driving, interior, feel, etc.
Agreed. Basically, if you're track-focused, "mild improvement" seems about right because there's easy room for further improvement.

A truly major improvement would have had it running right up there with the 1LE Camaros in ALL of the comparisons, and that it didn't is where a lot of the disappointment is coming from.

As a daily driver where you don't get anywhere near ultimate capabilities, it probably is a huge improvement. And I'm only talking about the way it drives/rides/handles.

Would you also have it "running right up there" with the 1LE in terms of horrid street ride feel? Sure, it would be really nifty to have a car that can hang with the 1LE on Willow Springs AND be in comparisons with BMW M3s in terms of ride quality, but let's be a little realistic here.

The car was designed to fill the gap between that good street feel and good track times. There are cars with horrible street feel and great track times and vice versa. I believe they did a good job and more people love it than hate it. Lets be real, what awesome track car is also an awesome touring daily driver? Plus even that answer is subjective to the driver...

No hate from me, I have a 13 GT. I like the new style. I want a Comp Orange PP but I didn't want to buy the first model year. I also am hoping they might have a Mach or Boss soon. I plan to get a new one in the next 2 years or so.

I do wish they had bumped up power a bit more. From all I've seen the 13-14 is slightly faster.

I agree completely. I loved my 2005 Mustang GT Premium Convertible pretty much 97% of the time. It was awful, and I mean just plain awful, on streets with any kind of bumps (of which there are many down here). I avoided entire areas of the city because the streets would actually make my back hurt. I am really looking forward to the new IRS and seeing how it performs on our awful streets.

Dump the stock exhaust complete with it's "Suitcase" resonator and add about 20WHP with virtually ANY cat back aftermarket exhaust (add a CAI to the restrictive stock air box and probably you're good for an additional 5HP)

You miss the weather here? Its a sunny 60 degrees today. You should see the people in my office. Women have their chinchilla on and boys with the Harley leather jackets and layers upon layers for both parties, I am talking scarfs and beanies. You would think it was snowing outside... Any chance to wear extreme winter clothing down here!

Yeah, you got me beat there. That sucks. You got it back already right? Everything good with it now?
Sure did and it's as good as "new."

nothing new sadly.

Mostly jealous people and you'll see hate within the S197 crowd.

2010s hate 11s because of the 5.0 upgrade

2012s hate 13s and 14s because of who knows what.

Anywhere you go there will be intermodel hate.

Gibson cat back was 5hp on my personal car.
