the parking is a little dubious, but the bigger question is why on earth are the owners of these trucks at Hobby Lobby on a Saturday night?
Actually they were parked in front of dicks sporting, that and hobby lobby are next to each other.

You know how many yards of fabric you can fit in a 3/4 ton chevy!?

I own a 2011 F-150 Supercrew with a 6.5 bed in addition to my GT. The truck has a turning radius of a school bus. I try to park out in the boonies because the truck is long and it is more of a pain to try to maneuver into a tight spot than just walk a bit but sometimes you just have to park with the general population.

This person did not hit your precious million dollar sports car, they merely maximized their space......

SO DEAL WITH IT.

Can you just feel the love in this thread lol. I bet the majority that say "he didn't hit you so deal with it" would say otherwise if it were them.

Well, you have to admit since you have cars parked in a parking lot that didn't run into each other it really isn't a big deal.

I chose to back in simply because of the parking block vs. splitter. I don't expect to load the trunk like that. Did the OP? On another note I would not park my car there from the get-go.

Life is to short to get excited over things like this, wouldn't you agree?

I am the OP and I may have needed access to my trunk. Never know what you'll find at a gun show. I also picked the furthest spot out that I could get. Where would you have parked?

I park in the middle of nowhere and walk to avoid this stuff altogether and get about 1 inch from the curb in a corner spot. If i park in the middle/front of a crowded lot I expect something like this.

As I stated, I parked as far out as possible.

If I'm concerned about having access to the trunk I don't back into the spot (which I don't do anyway, that's something I'll never understand peoples need to do). .
I back into all spots because its much easier and I have a back-up camera so I can get right up to the curb on one side and parking block in the back. Is backing into spots not common?

I mixed you up with another poster, I remember you saying that OP. I understand your frustration, I am pretty ridiculous about my car and hate people even walking to close to it. You should try finding a spot at UCF that won't make you cringe when you walk away from your car :tsk:

If it was me and the mustang was my only car, I would just accept the fact that the car is in no way going to remain prestine, take the most precautions possible, and make a relationship with the best ding repair artist in the area.

I drive the mustang sparingly with the general rule of not taking it unless the destination will allow options for parking by design. I will literally use google street view to investigate possible parking scenarios for trips. If the parking situations allow no good choices, mustang stays home and the Honda or the truck take the hit. Also for commuting, if it's a rainy morning with a higher probability of someone slamming into me, truck is the only way to go as it seems to deflect small-medium sized cars effortlessly. If it's not raining but high probability that I will be working late and stuck in a traffic apocalypse in the evening, I'll take the Honda.

Unless you have a stable that allows for options that involve sometimes leaving the mustang at home, there's really no way to keep it pristine without being a total weirdo and treating it like a priceless classic Ferrari. Again though, someone with a car that is truly special is going to have a means of not parking it in dicks shopping center. I do see 100k+ super cars parked in tight spots at lunch around the Silicon Valley, but it's all relative, that 100k car is their beater, the 2.5 million dollar stallion is at home in a climate controlled bubble lol.

Even with my choices, the mustang was defaced on the very first day of ownership simply from driving it home. Some geek with a pickup truck full of dirtbikes merged on to the freeway and chucked a rock at my windshield. I chalked it up as a bit of karma for my time driving a lifted jeep with wide tires and no mud flaps. Only way I could have prevented that would be to only bring the mustang on the freeway inside of an enclosed trailer.
