usually all you gotta do to get away from the riced out fartcannon people is drive the speed limit or 5 over and they cant keep up for fear of one of their " performance " aftermarket parts falling off. Or go over a speed bump, their "performance" body kit will probably get ripped off.

I don't street race, and if some dbag in a shitty 4banger with a fartcan says that to me I just drown out that noise by revving the engine. Good therapy :headbang:
I don't either. I just laughed at him and said "you're throwing the power to weight ratio off in your car bud"
he was pretty husky.

I thought New Orleans and Baton Rouge drivers were bad, but damn. Fortunately, I get nothing but the right attention with my magnetic metallic vert, even with all the visual mods. Every now and again I'll see nothing but the windshield of the car behind me (not even the hood) because of some stupid woman texting and tailgating, but not too often.

I find it ironic how people are spewing hate about how horrible other people are.

It's all Obamas fault. We were a kinder gentler nation before he took over. :D

If you drive in the fast lane and leave a big gap in front of you, some people (me included) might tend to tailgate and act annoyed with you. I think this should be common sense, but I realize that people don't always think the way I do. My drive home from work has one particular stretch of road where the slow lane often becomes the fast lane due to slow drivers on the left.

What I notice the most is people are reading on their phones so they leave a huge gap. Why they also have to be in the fast lane I don't know.

I'm not saying you're necessarily doing something wrong, but if people act irritated with you, I think you should start with the assumption that you are doing something to bother them - don't first assume that all people are jerks. One oddball is a coincidence, but if you are saying this is a pattern, I think odds are good there's something causing it. Most people are actually very decent unless you do something to bother them.

if someone is going slower then what you think is "ok" you tailgate?

unless you want to rear end someone, you probably shouldnt do that. just my 2 cents.

I give them the opportunity to get over and out of the way......but.....when the lane next to them is wide open, and it becomes a pride thing for them now not moving over out of the "fast lane", thats when they get my rear bumper about 3" from there front bumper as I go around while I think about how I want to break their face :first:

Hi Stangsters! Hope all is good with you guys! With 11.9k miles, my baby is still going strong and still getting compliments by strangers! This year, I have seen more and more 2015 Mustangs on the streets here on the treasure coast of Florida (sad moment sometimes when you see a S550 coming and throw a big wave only to have them ignore you and then you find out it's a rental; of course).

It's been a while since I posted on the forum, but there has just been something that has bothering me ever since I purchased my Mustang. The surrounding other drivers on the road are so damn hostile! Maybe it's because I live in FL, maybe it's because I have a red car, who knows..

I find myself to be a good, courteous driver. I ALWAYS use my blinker, drive a little over the speed limit, never tailgate (don't want rock chips on my car and most importantly don't want to rear end someone because that puts me automatically at fault), always let in other drivers at crossings, etc. People are just different towards me when I am driving my Mustang. I've driven my mothers Jeep Wrangler and it's like I never get into confrontation with other drivers as they are calm around her car and always generous.

When I drive my Mustang, I feel like it's signaling other drivers to target me aggressively by cutting me off, trying to speed around me, always wanting to be first out of the intersection at a red light, not using a blinker, and definitely a tailgating party.

Does anyone know the psychology around why this is? I don't want to say that it's because I am a young man driving a new sports car because that makes me feel/sound conceited, lol.

in miami fl and same bullshit everyone wants to race or be an asshole and tailgate cut you off etc

well let me tell you a few weeks ago i went down to the keys with the misses heading back home there is a long 27 mile stretch of single lane road where the speed limit is 55 or so with passing lanes every mile or so but anyways im heading back with a pack of bikes in front so i give them some space and set my cruise to 60 mph fair enough right not going slow but giving these guys a little room well we get to a passing section and this lady decides to pass me last minute so at this point i just keep at my regular speed dont accelerate or slow down problem here is she doesnt want to speed up or stay behind me and passes me almost hitting me and almost hits the pack of bikes in front of me needless to say she got the full force of the coyote since she was in a hurry i passed her in the next passing lane funny she thought she would be able to keep me from passing lol by speeding up got in front of her set the cruise to 45 mph and let her enjoy the rest of the 20 something miles at 45 bikes thanked me she was pissed i think she learned her lesson
