Any blower with almost instant boost is going to be a serious tire fryer. With 3.73s, it is going to grenade those tires. The centrifugals are building boost with rpm, a little easier to manage. Do you want the tire frying, sideways torque or something easier to manage is what I like to compare with these two setups.
Not with Whipple's Flight Control that is standard on S550 complete kits

All kits will run really good but you have to think about how you want the car to make power. A Whipple will offer near instant boost and torque, and with the Flight Control software, you can adjust power output by gear which makes controlling that torque more manageable. The nice thing about the Whipple as well is that not only does it deliver instant boost and torque, which makes driving around town much more fun and passing on the highway easier, it makes HP similar to a centrifugal where it keeps climbing and climbing all the way to redline without showing signs of dropping off.

We are also currently running a 10% off sale this week on the Whipple's for anyone that is interested in going that route. If you guys/gals have questions about any of the other blowers as well, we can help you out there, too. Hit us up and we'd be glad to assist you.

Thanks

I dunno it it's ironic, funny, or what - all in a good way - but we have some Centri's like Beefcake's offerings (and probably others) using a wastegate to make a Centri act more like a PD (and I'd add the Procharger i1 which is not yet available for S550) and now, with Whipple's flight control able to configure a Whipple PD to act more like a Centri.

Never been a better time to be in the FI market - or perhaps more confusing.

with being able to pulley down 1 size on the 15s, i don't see as big of a need for the wastegate....

however......doesn't mean we won't have them ready in a couple weeks, lol

Hope the next few weeks go quick, I have been waiting for the wastegate since I installed the Paxton.

Wow, just read about the Procharger I1. Best of both worlds.

@ Terry;
Is this going to be available for Mustang? Can you provide more info about time frame and tune for this car?

p.s. As I read more and watched videos, this S/C doesn't seem to have become very popular in the market. Is this correct impression?

Sorry that this is close to a thread jack, but if it is on beefcake's WEBsite (I didn't see it in the link) it probably is for S197 Stangs.

I did start a separate topic on it last week but ProChargerTECH did not comment so maybe I was too subtle

Should respond to: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46239

it's a nice piece, but a little on the pricier side. we just did on a few weeks back at the shop. for the guy that wants to be around 600 wheel right now work good. with the 15s having better internals, and and pulleying down,

i usually recommend 10-11 psi out of the gate and you'll be plenty happy

according to beefcakes website its available

http://www.teambeefcakeracing.com/20muprsu.html

beefcake any preference of paxton/votech vs procharger? or anyone else with some input?
both kits are nice, i have some good posts on the pros and cons of each. for the $$ the paxton is the best bang for the buck though, but all 3 are very nice
