I've noticed the same thing seems when at medium load and when it transitions into boost there is a hiccup, or buck then it works through it. It is not doubt happening and is worse depending on load on the motor. I would be curious how many others have this issue and if whipple has any thoughts or tech info for us.
I had that hiccup happen once a couple of weeks ago. I was surprised because I already had 2000 miles on the Whipple and it hadn't happened until then.

Mine has also occurred when I was on cruise control going up a steep grade and it was on the verge of boost verses vac from what I could tell from the PP vac gauge. But it does do a much harder buck when I'm throttle in med load.

Mine has started to do it more and more, and now even does it on flat land. Always at "medium" throttle. I've noticed if I am on it a bit and going through gears, there is no problem. But if I am sitting in 3rd or 4th already, and push the pedal down about half way, it is there dam near 100% of the time. And when it's truly under load, now the bucking/sputtering is very very bad. Honestly, I don't even like to drive the car anymore. It just pisses me off. I drive my old Mazda now most days, as I have started hating the Mustang. I would be a liar if I didn't say I wish I had stayed NA. I got over $12,000 in this setup.. and hate to drive the car at all. Really a bad experience overall, and if I could go back I wouldn't go this route.

I have also had numerous PM's from fellow members with the same issue. It seems that nobody want's to mention anything negative when it comes to Whipple. But this issue is becoming rather popular. My guess is it was already fairly popular, and many ppl just kept it to themselves.

Numerous issues? I really don't think that is the case.

As I've said, I need some data to help find a solution to your issue. Stating we have a global issue is not accurate, nor does it help anyone. In most cases, running issues are install related issues and we need to verify this first.

As simple as it is, not gapping the plugs is extremely common, crushing the MAF is common, air leaks with pinched orings happen, fuel injector orings, pinched vacuum lines....

We've literally sold thousands of these, it's not a conspiracy to not discuss issues, we handle every issue we find quickly.

Don't loose hope, I'm sure we can figure this out with the help of Whipple, they have been very good in my experience helping people trouble shoot issues. I will go over all the areas mentioned by whipple here, and I'll be talking with them to resolved this.

By no means said it's a "global issue" or even "numerous issues". I said I have recv'd numerous PM's fropm fellow members. But also not gaining a darn thing by lying about receiving PM's. Don't really like the accusation honestly. I am not bashing the product. This is why so few ppl bring it up when it comes to Whipple. Because it turns ugly quickly. Which is not my intention. But please. don't insinuate I am a liar. It's un-necessary and un-professional of you. I am sure there are many many more Whipples out there without problems than there are with problems for sure. It's a solid product.. but they aren't ALL perfect. It is allowed to be discussed. Period.

Agreed. I have talked to Whipple SC offline, and I am just waiting for my SCT to get here so that I can do some data logs and send them over to him. I don't have lack of faith in Whipple... just major frustration with the current condition.

Sam, the problem with text is its easy to take something different than it was intended. I have found myself in many of these situations lol.

Having read what Dustin said I don't think he was disrespectful and not accusing you of anything. Personally I think their customer service has been flat out amazing the times I needed help and I am 100% certain they will get to the root of the problem and get you taken care of.

I have zero complaints of their customer service. Including Dustin. I totally agree that they are here to help and are very responsive to issues and or inquiries. But I do feel that it was insinuated that I was lying about PM's. Either way... I respect the product, and honestly, I don't really care about my feelings being hurt. Just wan't my car to run as it should. :D

You are tying your issue to some other forum members issue when in reality, your issue is probably far different then another persons. These PCM's have over 10,000 parameters, the kits have over 300+ componets, you have engine variability, our parts can vary, we can make mistakes, installers can make mistakes, factory engines and vehicles can have issues.

Then, customers all explain issues differently. What to you might be a sputter could be the next guys hesitation which to the next guy is a bobble. Then throw in long tube headers, O2 extenders, foulers, no cats, etc. and one adds even more complexity. With electronic throttle, that adds another variability as the pedal doesn't match the actual throttle always so some think because the vehicle didn't launch 10mph, then there is a hesitation. When in reality the pedal moved 10% and throttle moved 3%.

Therefore, we have to isolate what is an actual running issue via the calibration vs some other variability. Customers with codes are easier to handle as it gives us a range. If someone says they have a sputter, other than the basics, air leak, spark plug gap, etc. we have to have some data to look at, or a professional shop to help isolate the issue.

The calibration is at or near an OEM level, which means 99% it's not the calibration. It's typically a part or an install issue.

Were here to help.

I should have worded my post better. I stated that members have the "same issue" That was a poor choice of words. A better description would have been "similar symptoms". For that, I apologize.

Interesting for sure, but how old was your bypass? Is there a new design that you know of. My system was delivered Jan 2016, is there a newer improved bypass?
I received my kit in Feb 2015. You should have the latest one.
