Hey guys

I'm confused on the whipple belt length that I need. I have the 6 rib setup and my whipple packing slip from when I ordered the kit says that it's a 106.6" belt. There is no such belt on the whipple website so it makes me think that it's not the right size.

2 questions

Which size belt do I need?
Should I be ordering the green belt? Seems like i'm hearing great things about those

Thank you

I have a 6 rib on my 2016 gen 2 kit. The Gates part number on the belt that came with my kit is K061066. Be careful as there are two different belt routing diagrams and sizes of belt depending on when you got your kit.

Yeah that's what I'm confused about. I have a gen 3 stage 2. bought and installed in February this year

Right side is the preferred routing. Use the K061066 belt for that one.

For gates belts in that size you have three choices: K061066(standard Gates belt), K061066HD(the green heavy duty belt) and K061066RPM(specifically design for forced induction and low stretch). I’m coming from a GT500 and the RPM belt offered the highest boost, lowest slip and longest life.

I can't seem to find K061066HD anywhere

Is this the actual name of it?

Nothing showing up on google

Thank you

Looks like they don’t sell it in 106.6” in the HD line. Just the regular and the RPM. Get the RPM. You’ll be happier.

When you use the RPM, make sure you adjust the idler pulley so the tensioner arm has lots of room on both sides of its swing. No stretch causes it to move more if it maxes out one way the belt will come off, the other it will either snap, slide your idler pulley, or cause some other thing to break, serious damage. If you want no headaches and are willing to give up just a little, go with the regular signature series.

Where is the slip experienced mostly? Low rpm transition to boost or at higher rpm?
Very curious about this...

Just FYI. I asked this question in TVS/Whipple group on facebook. Dustin Whipple himself jumped in and said they stopped using RPM belts completely. Said they had a ton of failures. There is a new list of belt lengths out now from whipple and all are using the standard gates belts. Last page of this link has the sizes and part numbers....

I Switched to the recommended belt listed in that link and all belt slip stopped.

RPM belt blew off my car today after a year......luckily I had a spare in my trunk and some tools but its not really impressive
Whipples website shows a shorter 102" belt and not the K061066 which makes things even more confusing
I ordered a new K061066 for the car, since thats what came with my kit

Just FYI for Gen 5 owners that guide does not apply
I now have two 102.5 belts that are way too long for the 3.5 pulley .
