Whipple belt replacement

I was hearing squeaking from the belt during boost so I got the number off the belt and ordered it. It came in and I was confused at first as I have a 10 rib setup but the belt I ordered was a 12 rib.
I started looking at the old belt closer and noticed someone had cut two ribs off the belt to install. I did the same thing and it seems ok but surprised me.
Is it normal to do this? The belt number actually comes up in the matrix I’ve seen posted in other threads which is K121039

What kind of setup are you running that takes a 104.5 inch belt?

I have an ATI underdeive crank pulley so I assume that’s why it’s that size. From the chart it says 16lbs which makes sense as it’s dyno charts put it at 980s at the wheel.
