I had a Paxton novi on my 2012 gt , and now I have Procharger D1x on my 2016 gt/cs. In my opinion the Procharger is the better choice for multiple reasons.
Stage2 Dedicated drive = 0 belt slip.
If by chance a belt breaks , you can still drive Your car home.
You can change a belt in 20 minutes if necessary.
You can change a pulley in less then 10 minutes.
Better Step up ratio, which Reduces the need to use smaller pulleys to make more power.
Cold weather tolerances, Vortech/ Paxtons cars are not supposed to be started when the temp dips below 25f unless you heat up the head unit beforehand. (This is right outta their owners manual). The tight tolerances in their head units can cause internal damage when started below 25f temps and will void your warranty.
Im on the 4.88 pulley (the pulley that comes with the kit), on pump gas +Lucas octane booster i make 750 whp. This blower is 1000 hp capable.. my car is an animal..very happy with my D1x..

Yaa. No worries.
Ive got a spare crank snout laying around if you need one. Sure others may have one to loan you if you need a spare.
Lol
How bout spare rods, pistons, opg’s, crank sprockets, trans clutches, intermediate shafts, or forward planetaries? I’ll need all of those eventually also. Jesus, I should just sell the car now and avoid the risks... right?

Mid 9’s 145ish. Mind you this is a stock longblock gen1 car. I’m more than fine assuming the risks associated. Car owes me nothing and crank snouts are the last thing I need to be concerned with.

Dont let yourself get caught up in the fake news crank snout debacle. haters have to have some kind of come back to deal with the real world Procharger benefits. Op its your choice, which is why i posted the pros and cons, good luck with whatever you choose..

Anybody has real world track results on gen2 with either P1x or D1x ? We have a lot of data on paxton ,vortex setups. It would be nice to see if there is a difference at the track.

I had a paxton. I didn't like how the over flow tank mounts over the passenger side spark plugs. Boosted cars need the plugs changed more often. And the over flow tank placement turns a simple plug change into a cluster f#$k.
