Have you ever heard that? From what I’ve read it’s a 10-12 hr job for Whipple and 5-6 hours for Procharger. I had a shop tell me they install Whipple quicker?. Thoughts? This for a 2020 Gt 10 speed.

Not unless the shop is really good at the Whipple install and they have never seen a Procharger...

I’m sure this shop has seen a Procharger, I was really dumbfounded and sent back an email to clarify and haven’t received a reply, yet. I guess if they can do it quicker then that’s awesome, just want to know the price for labor etc. It’s very well known vendor for sure.

Lots of surgery for the Procharger install for sure. It’s a task. But worth it.

You don’r have to say who it is, but do you mind sharing what they quoted? I’m curious. Around here its 12-1400$. No opg’s.

It took me about 6 days of working at a leisurely pace without any help, with plenty of breaks, to get the Whipple and OPG's installed in my Mustang. One day was blown due to a part being missing from my Whipple kit. So I'd estimate a three day weekend if you hustle, for a Whipple installation. I've got a little bit of OCD, so that takes some extra time, because I'm sometimes triple checking torques.

I’m still waiting for a reply and quote. I questioned their initial email and waiting for them to reply back.

I don’t see how the Procharger could be more difficult than the Whipple. No need to even touch the intake and nothing to do with coolant. No need to have to torque down the blower etc... Front ends come off for both.
Procharger looks like a much easier and quicker install.

That’s what I thought too, I’ll let y’all know what they say and reasons why, when they reply.

The procharger you need to change the thermostat housing, not hard but your going to loose some coolant. Procharger is not a 5 hour job I can tell you that, maybe if 2 people are working on it it is

Yeah I was just reading 5-6 hours suggested install off Beefcakes website. Pretty sure that’s whom I’ll be using once decision is made, seems to have best pricing.

Just finished a Procharger install.

No way, even with 2 people, to do it in 5 - 6 hours. First time with 2 really good mechanics, figure a day and half.

I thought 5-6 hours was optimistic, but I have no clue, honestly.
