This is a brand new install. So following the directions in the installation manual, it says to turn the ignition to on and listen for the IC pump to turn on. I tried that a bunch of times last night and it never turned on. I have checked the wiring multiple times.

I don’t have dual fans, I just have a stage 2 gen 3 kit. The relay runs to the plug behind the manifold with the yellow/gray – green wires and then runs over to the fuse box. The red cable with the loop on the end runs to the 3rd power stud (the closest one to the firewall). The ground is attached next to the windshield cleaner bottle in the wheel well area. Then the IC pump 2 way connector runs over to the IC pump.

Anyone have any idea why it isn't turning on?

You have to start the engine. With the Whipple tune, I think the instructions are wrong, it doesn't turn on with ignition on, the engine must be running. You can see the coolant moving in the fill tube thing when it's running, so you don't have to listen for it.

Ive found that there is a bunch of stuff wrong in those directions, so that doesn't surprise me.

The IMRC plug will only work when using the Whipple tune or strategy. If you are being tuned by a remote tuner you should check with them to see if you need to re-wire it to activate from a switched 12v source or leave it on the pigtail.

Also, if you put your hand on the pump you should feel it running, sometimes you get a air pocket that prevents if from moving the water, if so, remove the hose from the pumps inlet until water pours out and then put it back on, should help burp it and get it moving again

Also using the wrong side IMRC will keep whipple calibration from turning them on, yes it requires the engine be started. Just went through this yesterday.

Why do you think whipple hooked it up to the imrc plug vs just hooking up to a 12v switched? Are they able to control the pump differently hooked up to the imrc? Meaning does it send any info back to the computer if there is possible cavitation?

They have the ability in their tune to use that instead of just putting it on a switched source. The aftermarket tuners can't access those controls.

I know this is an older thread, but if this intercooler pump is not working would it make me lose horsepower? I have the stage 2 in my 2022 , last night I noticed it was feeling more like stock HP. Today when it was cool this morning it ran fine, but now that it's warmed up it us lacking again.
Turn the ignition on, your pump should run. My 2019, with the engine not running, but the ignition on, the pump runs. If your pump does not run, either the pump has failed or is not getting power. If the pump doesn't operate you will lose power when the IATs rise,

It was a blown 10A fuse on the relay harness for the pump , i recently replaced the dual fan relay so maybe something touched .
It's working like normal again.
