Is there an IAT problem with the stock kit that needs to be addressed by this?
Lol, no, can't make a consistent 700RWHP on pump gas with an IAT issue. This is continuing to better the product and stay ahead of all. Got some other updates coming as well. Were extremely committed to the Mustang performance and continuing to strive for the next level of power.

What is the Flow comparison in gallons per minute versus the old pump?
Not an exact comparison, but pretty close. I believe original pump is similar to the bosch and the new to the varimax.

So is there enough room to swap the pump by removing the splash guard?

Received and installed. Was done by removing the splash shield.

This is a great upgrade. Everyone should do this. You want to chip away at IAT's as much as you can whenever you can.

This pump is going to be the best choice for most people/applications/combos.

I installed mine today and my IATs are lower. It looks like a 5 to 10 degree drop; after blower. The temps also drop a lot faster after you start moving from being stopped. I had it up to 130mph today and my IATs were 80 degees:headbang:

While under boost? Sorry but I call bull. Your IAT sensor may not be reading correctly.

Here are two screenshots from my logs last week for a revision with Lund. First one is at the beginning of the log and my IATs are 100 degrees. Second one is under boost and my IATs have dropped to 90 degrees. This is with the old pump and after a previous 3rd gear pull with no cool down time. This is also after the blower temps. Plus, I live in Tampa, FL; it doesn't get real cold here. Sorry, I didn't take logs yesterday, did think that ai would be called a liar. How about posting results of your piece meal kit?

I'm not calling you a liar. I'm saying your data is incorrect. What you're describing is absolutely impossible. There is no way your IAT's are that low, end of story.

There have been issues with the IAT transfer function on the S550's. We discovered them while doing development on our S550. To nail down exactly what was going on we bought and installed two stand alone IAT sensors/gauges so we could check them against what the car's ECU was telling us. The cars ECU was wrong, way wrong. Lund did some voodoo and got the IAT's to read closer, but they never got to the point where they matched the two independent stand alone sensors/gauges.

Based on the fact that the IAT's you're seeing are mathematically impossible under your conditions and that it's a fact that there are IAT sampling issues with the S550 one can only draw the conclusion that what you're seeing isn't accurate.

I'm sorry to disappoint.
