What’s going on guys. This is kinda a long story but I’ll try and make it short and sweet. Bought a whipple coyote last week and everything was good. Second day with the car I went I test on the street and did a burnout and the belt broke and car shut off. Didn’t know the belt had broken yet so started it back up and drove off soft. Drove for about 2 mins and got the charging system service light on since the alternator isn’t running. Pulled over and shut the car. Tried to start it back up thinking it would reset and battery was drained by that point so didn’t start. Popped the hood and found the belt torn and towed it home. Fast forward to td I change the belt and go to start the car and would just crank (low battery) so put jumper cables on and tried starting it multiple times but would just crank. Brought the battery to autozone to throw it on the battery charger and test it and started at 445 cca and brought it up to 540. Battery is rated for 590. Bring it home car starts up but fuel pressure is lower than normal and car was blowing white smoke from the exhaust. Also when I reved it lightly you could feel it was very rough and felt like misfiring. Checked the fuses for the triple pump system and they were good but relays were fried. Changed them out along with the harness and car started right up and fuel pressure was back to normal. Still have the white smoke from the exhaust and the rough feeling when I rev the car. Pulled one of the plugs also and found some oil on the threads and tip. Car is Lund tuned with a whipple and rpg motor and was working fine until the belt issue so I’m lost for words. First coyote so I’m honestly at a dead end of what to do.

Uhh you probably badly overheated it driving with no belt. You had no water pump running either.

What's your coolant level and did you check your oil level?

It was about 35 degrees outside and was really only cruising at like 40 mph for about 2-3 mins so I’d hope not smh.

I’d have to recheck coolant but the reservoir was still full. And oil was good. Full and freshly changed

Also no codes on the nguage and the temp gauge never really went above normal on the short drive after the belt broke

The part that is strange is the car shutting off after the belt broke. It could have been the belt broke and the car ran until the voltage dropped during the burn out. That would explain the relay burning up since the amperage climbs as voltage declines. Might have created a lean condition.

As for what the problem might be- I would do a leak down and/or a compression test before speculating.
Yeah it was cold out so during the burnout the rpms rose reallllyy fast lol and it hit redline and cluster lit up red and then shut off. Did the burnout in D and automatic instead of manually. First day with the car tbh so was learning. Started it right back up and then just drove off softly cause I was concerned about it shutting off and was in the middle of the street lol

How about conducting a compression test? It’ll help you learn more about the condition of the engine.

White smoke can be from unburnt fuel along with steam since it's cold out. I would drain the oil to see if you have any coolant in it if you can't do a leak down test.
I know your not sure how high the RPMs got, but I wonder what the redline is set at if it has one at all.

Yeah honestly that or leakdown is really my only option I guess. Just crazy to think that this could happen from breaking a belt and driving for 2/3 mins cruising in the winter

Yeah maybe I’ll try that before the leakdown or compression test. And yeah not sure exactly how high but being that I did the burnout in auto wouldn’t it shift anyway?

So did a compression test tn and cylinder 3 was slightly lower than the rest. Also when I unscrewed the compression tester there was oil on the threads. Put new plugs in but car is still smoking like a chimney and smells like something is burning. And when you rev thr car at idle it’s still very sluggish and barley want to rev up when you step on the peddle. Anyone have advice on what’s the next step I should take?
