Compression test looks OK, just the one cylinder is a little lower, but close to the 2% variance. Got a picture of all the old plugs?
Nope all plugs were similar and electrodes looked good. And no smoke wasn’t sweet had a burning smell to it tbh. And like I said number 3 cylinder when I pulled out the compression tester has oil on the threads but no other one. Even did it twice and got got oil both timesI'd be happy with those test results. I can't see the electrode area of them, are any noticeable cleaner? Could signal that you have a coolant leak and the steam will clean the plug.
Somebody already mentioned it, burning coolant has a very distinct sweet smell so it should be obvious if that is happening.
Yeah I’ll check that next! And yeah I get what your saying but my temperature gauge wasn’t higher than usual. If it was hot enough to cause issues I’m sure it would’ve rose a noticeable amount? And yeah the no codes part is what’s throwing me off. Car idle fines but once you blip the throttle it has no response. A half throttle blip the car barley revs passed 2k. It just revs very slow and sluggishCan you get a kit to check the coolant for exhaust gas contamination? Also, pressure check the cooling system. Pump it up and see if it holds pressure. If it does not and there are no leaks on the ground, then the coolant is going into the combustion chamber(s).
If I read your original post correctly, you broke the SC belt doing a burn out. I assume engine was revving pretty high, then a split second later, belt breaks and engine shuts down. If head gaskets are good, did this unplanned stress perhaps do something very bad to main timing chain/sprockets. If it did, I'd suspect you'd have a slew of codes.
I'd rule out blown head gasket first. Cylinder #6 looks a little suspect. Running an all aluminum engine with aluminum heads without coolant circulating does not take much to warp the heads. Your engine was already pretty hot from doing burn out, driving 2-3 minutes after that under normal driving conditions didn't do it any good. Also, and this is not out of the realm of possibilities, maybe bent a rod just a tiny bit.
I'd rule out blown head gasket first. Then move to possible damage to SC itself, fuel delivery, then to bottom end damage.Yeah I’ll check that next! Yeah I have the nguage and have 2 videos from last night but it won’t let me post them. If you pm me I’ll text you them. Afr seems alrightttt but spark#1 seems all over the placeSo you have any gauges hooked up to see what the AFR and or lambda is doing along with any engine codes. How do the plugs smell, any with a heavy fuel smell? Curious if you've got a coil issue on one of the cylinders.
First supercharged car so what would I even check lol? And fuel pressure is good. As far as bottom end I’m not too sureI'd rule out blown head gasket first. Then move to possible damage to SC itself, fuel delivery, then to bottom end damage.
No that I haven’t. First blower so like I said belt broke and first thing was just change the belt and figured I’d be good. Want expecting all this. It’s a 10rib setup as wellHave you checked the blower itself? Any issues free spinning it without the belt on?
Wonder why the belt snapped in the first place...
How and what would you check for?I'd be suspect of the SC, personally.
For me I'd probably have the housing off that holds the throttle body and looking inside for any abnormalities. Making sure it's moving freely, listening for abnormal sounds when spinning it. Just basic stuff first. The belt blowing just seems suspect. Only other thing I could think if is a timing issue. How and what would you check for?
