Let me ask another question. I've had 2 single turbo 3v cars that made 480-500 rwtq @ 3500rpms. Both of those cars on street tires would just light the tires up at 40mph and I would have to keep pedaling until I hit 3rd. From what I've seen the whipple should be making around the same tq. At 3500. Should my car be spinning like crazy on crappy street tires with my whipple in 2nd gear?
YES :)

It definitely isn't. Only spins in 1st at 5500rpms and a tiny bit at the top of 2nd. I'm definitely thinking there is an issue. I'm gonna pull the bypass valve and check it out.

I'm using the factory map and readout. I know it may not be extremely accurate but gives a good indication of how the boost is reacting. Jeff @ whipple just had me turn off the knock setting in the flight control and it definitely helped. Kind had me worried about how high the boost went. I saw 12 psi at the top of 2nd. I'm running 72lb with the 3.75 pulley. Definitely more boost coming in earlier now.
The the factory MAP sensor doesn't read or work properly with an aftermarket calibration. Your best bet would be to use a mechanical gauge to get an accurate readout.

I don't have good tires but I am running 295x35x20 Nitto Invo's and can smoke-em at will in 1st and 2nd gear in warm weather with auto and 3:55.

All I have is Nankang ns20 275/35/20. I may also try the race setting in flight control where it runs the straight tune without pulling any timing or throttle and see if the boost comes on. After that it's gonna have to be a boost/vacuum problem.

I do drive with "Advance Trac" off. With just Traction control off I smell the braces burning and it is much slower if I get on it.

Boost gauge in dash is not actual boost, just calculated and is not overly accurate.

That's race has only, not recommended unless you are at the track and running pure race gas. That is not your issue I can guarantee it.

Turn traction control off, you can spin stock tires typically up to 60-70mph if it has 3.73.

:lol:That's the truth! With 3.31 gears and Mickey Thompson Street comps I was spinning at the top of 3rd....116mph:headbang:

I've been running it with traction control off. You can feel when it finally makes full boost. Almost feels like a turbo hitting. I'm leaning more and more towards bypass valve problems. I need to put a vac/boost gauge on it.

If the setting is clicked to have knock sensor limiting it will not make boost if even a slight ping is picked up. I was told to shut this off and hang on :) the cars knock sensors will protect the engine and retard timing as needed.

It's not one knock event, it's accumulative over a specified time at specified load points. Then to put back it's the reversal, X amount without knock events.

I had a similar issue and still think something is going on. My car just is not trapping what I feel it should be comparing to everyone else with this setup, I'm missing atleast 5mph in trap speed.

One thing I did figure out is if you have a PP car try putting the car in track mode first, make sure the helmet symbol and tcs symbol both come on, after that hold the button to turn off advanced track.
I tried multiple times with just track mode on or just advanced track off and on the logs the throttle would still get cut. After I did the above with both that solved that issue but I still feel there is something else going on as the car doesn't have the wow factor and only trapped 125mph with headers, 3.625 pulley, 93, and the knock limiting shut off I also have a pp manual with 3.31 gears.

Ok I did some testing and checking things out and now I'm to this point. The car runs good and makes full boost if I stab the throttle. If I kinda roll into it and then stab it, it kinda feels like the bypass gets stuck open until you get to high rpms. This happens when I am part throttle and there is just enough load to get to 0 vacuum. Kinda weird. Anybody else experience these symptoms?
