I will be doing OPG and sprocket in preparation for a Whipple. I'm considering throwing the OPG and sprocket in and reassembling the car for now. Then do the Whipple later. How much time am I wasting? Should I wait and do the entire job at once?

I would do it all at once.

Depends if you're doing it yourself or not. Might as well bang it all out at once

you wouldn't be wasting to much time. the only thing you would really be doing twice is draining and filling the coolant and removing a few lines. it would be good to spread out the work load a little instead of trying to do it all at once.

Personally I will be doing my OPG first and then FI later. Since It'll be my first install of this caliber I want to make sure everything is good from the OPG installation before going into the FI, otherwise It'll be harder to diagnose any potential (but rare) issues.

Just my personal opinion.

I have not decided on brand yet. By no means want to beat a topic but are there other manufactures aside from MMR?

I installed mine when I installed the Whipple. Crossed my fingers, hoped for the best. And all was good lol.

I did them at the same time. You don't actually need radiator/water pump/alt to know if it'll start or timing is off...

Put the front cover/damper back on. Started it up -- found out I did it wrong. Took damper/cover off, re-timed it, cover/damper, started it. Started/idled fine. On with the Whipple install.

If you have the time, this is the path I'd take because you've already got it partially disassembled so you're a part of the way there. If you're limited on time, do one, then the other. I wouldn't wait to start the car for the first time after the Whipple install. That's a lot of work to get back to the front cover.
