Hey all,

Wanted to get some opinions. I have basically only used the stock knob on my drive home from the dealership and I feel like I should change it out. It's fine, but feels a little small and I just like the idea of something different, even though it's not mandatory. I have a steeda street shifter on the way as well.

So, should I give stock more of a chance, or go with another option? Trying to stick with a more OEM option, so mainly considering ford performance or steeda type options. Which way would you recommend?

Max budget $100.

Thanks for your input!

There are many aftermarket knobs that are available, even weighted if you desire. I stuck with the ford performance knob on my 17 as it came with the ford racing short throw shifter.

I have the GT350R shift knob in my GT and I love it but at times when I’m shifting fast or downshift (mainly when downshifting in 2nd or shifting in 4th, where the shifting motion is towards you), my hand slips off and it hits the guard and goes into neutral.

The factory one has lots more weight than most aftermarket knobs, yet I swapped mine too.

Has ehanced the factory knob. The shift pattern framed by a darker color.

Birght middle framed by contrasting color, very clean... flows

Had to find a jam nut to get this to work but I like it better than the stock one.

I wanted a classic white ball type, very happy with my RTR with steeda reverse lock out collar

Thanks for sharing. I'd look more at the RTR if they didn't have their logo on it. Trying to stick with all Ford / Ford Performance / Steeda based parts at this time. I want my basic build to feel like a "modified stock" car.

Not sure if I like white.

ON EDIT: I did just check a couple pics and it does look pretty good. Thanks for the suggestion. May be worth a consideration... (added to the poll)

I have this Steeda knob, too, and while I like it better than stock, I was disappointed by its light weight. I also had issues installing it securely, but using enough threadlocker also gets the job done...

This is a concern I have. I really don't want a knob lighter than stock. Sounds like steeda wouldn't fit the bill then.
