I am trying to decide which long tube headers to get. I already have the FR by Borla Sport catback and love the sound with 0 drone. But I want MORE POWER. I was thinking about the SW high cat setup since it appears to be one peice per header. Or I could go with Kooks and have the option to remove or change out the cats if I ever wanted to go with a full 3" exhaust (FR by Borla is 2.5"). I'm not sure how much drone I'll pick up, if any? Also, from what I've seen for the install, you have to loosen or remove the motor mounts and disconnect the steering stem. I'll have to find the right person/shop since I don't have a car lift. Anybody got opinions on what headers to go with or what setup you have and any issues you came across. Thanks.

the sw actually has the modular system, where all you need to swap is the cats vs the cat delete pypes

best system out there for that actually.

all of the usa made pieces are nice on all the major brands

we do have SW in stock with the offroad leads and can ship tomorrow for you on those,

can also help you with kooks or arh as well

I'm considering the ARH full system, seems to have great reviews. Kooks seems to be on the more expensive side and I've seen a couple people saying the SW us too loud. Even some looking to sell theirs already. This is just the cat back system so it may be different with the headers.

Never purchased any, but I've seen great results on the Corvette Forums (and here) with ARH. If I were to buy, that's where I'd start.

This is the system we went with, a full ARH system. Great system, great sound, great quality and fantastic power.

We were actually surprised how well the system was with the O/R X, no rasp, not obnoxious and an actual conversation can be had in the car.

Any of those the are great brands, The cat back is mainly where sound comes from. I would suggest starting with headers only if your worried about being too loud, and then decide on a cat back later

The headers may give you just what your looking for

Could the vendors who've seen more of the headers first hand comment on O2 sensor placement? For '11-14 models there were issues with moisture ruining the O2 sensors because of how they were located in the header's collector. Are the new headers improved in this area? Specifically, do the O2 sensors angle down when installed to avoid damage from moisture?

Most of the O2 placements have been changed. Only company we've experienced in regards to O2, when using E85 was Dynatech. ARH, Kooks and SW we've never had an issue with.

Thanks for the reply. Could you describe the sensor placement on the various brands? I have Dynatechs on my 2011 and the sensor is placed horizontal right in the center of the collector. I know Borla had longtubes that mounted the sensor in one of the primaries and it angled down somewhat. Most issues I've seen were with BBK headers.

Most of the brands place them horizontal.

As I said, you can't go wrong with any usa made. Dynatech is a usa made as well and very good quality too. They are working on their midpipe to go with the headers for the 2015.

We have installed just about every brand available. They all are great quality, great welds, and you shouldn't have an issue with any of them.

Thanks for the replies Beef and Jayman! Now if only we can figure out how to run longtubes without O2 sensor extensions! You couldn't pay me to run longtubes with extensions on my car!

In a few weeks a local M6G member is getting a Corsa exhaust system and if I get a chance to work on it I'll check out the wiring harness to see if there is any way to get the stock connectors to reach.

just extend the wires yourself, that's what we would do

The wiring of these is pretty simple.
