Which hood struts did you buy?

Ordered the redlines because they are on amazon w/ prime, will be here tomorrow.

One word of advice. DO NOT over torque the hood bolts. The studs are weak and it is easy to snap them off.

That was one thing I liked about the Steeda kit. They include two small strips of neoprene to put between the hood bracket and the hood. It keeps the bracket from turning without having to tighten it down too tight.

Looking to see what brand hood struts everyone has purchased and how they have held up over the year(s). I have an 18 if it matters for these. I did a forum search and the only thing that popped up was a steeda rust issue.

Steeda hood struts. 2 years and no issues

I put Steeda struts in my '17. After about a year and a half they barely held the hood up. After 3 years they didn't hold it up at all. Now I just use the handy rod Ford put in there. Won't bother with another set of struts.

looks like i might be an outlier. went with california pony cars eng-157-635. they've worked great for over two years now.

I have Redline. Very easy to install. Approaching a year with them, no complaints.

Redline, but frankly they seem all pretty much the same. Prop rod in the corner of the garage in case of failure.
