  1. Car Insurance

If I was an insurance company I would specifically exclude coverage for all Mustangs at Cars & Coffee.
  2. Trade Boosted S550 to GT500?

I'm getting old, so I think of everything in terms of retirement. So, I would ask, would shelling out an $70000 or so extra for the GT500 after trade-in effect when you can retire? And if so, are you OK with working 2+ years longer for this car? If so, go for it.
  3. door squeak

Yes it's the best thing I've found. Grease never gets to the right place, and silicone wears off too fast.
  4. door squeak

I use garage door lube from the hardware store. It's just 3 in 1 oil in spray form but it's a good combo of easy to apply and longish lasting.
  5. question regarding fuse/power upgrade

Yes it would - most devices that use high current have a separate power switch line that you connect to a (low power) accessory power circuit that turns it on when the car is running. If your device takes high power *and* needs to be powered on only when the car is running *and* doesn't have a...
  6. question regarding fuse/power upgrade

I don't have any definite answers, but a couple of thoughts. It's possible since it's labeled "spare" it's not even wired for power on all cars. If it is wired for power, and has a 20 amp fuse, pushing it up to 40 amps could exceed what the wires/harnesses connecting it can take. And frying that...
  7. Check your valve cover bolts

I started noticing some drips under my 2017 GT recently. Looked underneath and verified it wasn't the drain plug or oil filter. I never noticed any burning smell or smoke. I took it to Ford today and they did an "engine diagnostic" and verified it's the valve covers. I never looked to count how...
  8. $75 Patch Job

    Sunscreen MC in Tucson
  9. 2015 GT oil leak

The first thing I'd check for is a loose oil filter.
  10. Differentiating between 2015-2017 and 2018-2022

Since I have a 2017 and I am GenX, I think 15-17 should be GenX, and 18-23 should be Millennials.
  11. Enhance or replace B&O sound system in 2020 GT

Been goin' and comin' back for 5 years. Glad you could join us.
  12. Enhance or replace B&O sound system in 2020 GT

That might be true, but a lot of people who care about sound quality are probably like me and are old farts who don't listen to anything less than 10 (or 15 or 20!) years old so we wouldn't have that problem.
  13. Aftermarket seat suggestions ?

These buckets score high on value but reclining looks limited. Installation is very straightforward.
  14. Door drops when opening

Does it seem like both driver and passenger doors have the same "drop"? If so, it's probably just you. You could also compare any other S550 and see if it feels different from yours. If so, take it to the dealer.
  15. Ford Performance Strut Tower Brace - Does It Clear Hood Pad?

Clears the hood as in it's not so tall it keeps the hood from closing? Yes it does. Don't know what pad you're talking about though.
  16. Ecoboost to GT Regrets? Tips/Suggestions?

OK you're right I overreacted. We should encourage all opinions and comments on the forums. But, to be technical, it was one thread, one forum, but three comments: You dissed the EB on weight and price, and both EB and GT on sound. So what do you like? The 2023 Z06 maybe? Couldn't blame you if...
  17. Ecoboost to GT Regrets? Tips/Suggestions?

Not an insult, but literally, why are you here? You don't sound like you care for the Mustang.
  18. Ford Mustang Extended Warranty - $50 over Dealer Cost

They've been saying this every October since I got my GT in 2017, and I don't think they've ever actually gone up. Maybe this year with crazy car prices and inflation it will be different, but I wouldn't get my panties in a bunch about it.
  19. Ecoboost to GT Regrets? Tips/Suggestions?

Are you sure you're not lost?
  20. Looking to upgrade gears from 3.15 to 3.55. Need advice.

Where'd they find that? Next to the Titanic? While it's out how about some sandblasting and a coat of paint?
