When to expect order placed Jan 2016?

My car is now built and gone to 'awaiting shipment' status when I checked today.

Will take about a week to get there and it sits until they load it onto a ship. Now go to https://www.2wglobal.com
and click on "track and Trace" put your VIN into "cargo ID" and one day all the information on the transport of your car will show up. Mine was built on the 5th Oct, and is still waiting to be appointed a ship as at the 27th Oct. No info has yet popped up on the "track and trace" so I am just waiting, and waiting, an waiting like almost everyone else has done.

BTW, the status on cotusb.ford.com has gone from 'awaiting shipment to 'in transit' in less than 24 hours! Is that normal???

I wonder if they cleared a backlog of vehicle transfers to the port while the factory was closed?

Well, after nearly 10 months of waiting my car is just about ready to be loaded onto the Fidelio on Nov 4th, due in Melbourne on Dec 8th. Any idea how long it takes to get delivery after the boat arrives?

Mine too. After nearly 4 weeks wait at the docks.. Should be at the dealer in Sydney at around the 14th Dec. I go away on 3 weeks Hol's from the 15th. Bummer.:doh:
Maybe I will ask them to hold it till I return on Jan 2nd and register it as a 2017 car. ???

What would be the point of doing that? It's already a 2017 model year, but for resale purposes it goes by the build date, not the date first registered.

Yeah that's all, resale only. It's funny how people think. They see 2016/2017 as a 1 year diff.??. I've experienced this quite a few times over the years. Anyway, not planning to sell it anytime soon...

Yes, that is normal. Awaiting shipment to the Americans is the train trip to Baltimore. It will now sit "in transit" until it gets allocated a ship - that can be up to about 1 month. Still no word for mine either. If I miss the Fidelio I expect to get on the next one - just be patient and keep waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting. Santa might bring us a nice Xmas present this year if we are lucky.:hail:

Finally, a call from my dealer. I ordered a Ingot Silver GT on 14 May this year. He called to advise expected delivery of April 2017. He should have NSC in a few weeks. So at least an end is in sight. Hopefully others who ordered around the same time get some news too.

So if all goes to plan that's 11 months from order to delivery. So pretty happy.
