Wheel gaps

Hey folks - was admiring my GT350 yesterday, still curious why there is a significant gap between wheel arch and left/right of wheel on all four corners? almost looks like a bigger wheel will fit...

yes, although everything about the design is imo fantastic, the gaps leave me wondering, you can even see the exhaust behind the rear wheel

If you look at most cars that were designed to work well on the track - there is more wheel gap than you might expect. The suspension needs to "work". Additionally, OEMs need to find a balance between what works on the track and what is reasonable for the street. There are also some laws that dictate bumper height - that might come into play.

I think Instagram pics of stanced out cars (while many of them look sexy) might make us look at these gaps with concern but it's how they should be, IMO. They look better lowered but you will be compromising something, to achieve that.

Stock height R with PS4S tires. 305 front 325 rear. Stock R heights are a little short and slightly stretched looking on the wheels, so that also gives it a "look".,
