I have a 2017 gt pp1 lowered on eibach sportline lowering springs. It’s my daily. I’m getting a summer tire and wheel set up. I’m planning on getting at set of wheels from lmr 19x10 fronts and 19x11 rears. 35mm offset front 50mm offset rear. I got lucky and found 2 of brand new ps4s 285/35zr19s for $450. So that covers the fronts but I’m worried about rubbing and I’m worried because they don’t make 305/35zr19 ps4s. Should I just get 295/35 or get 305/30. And will they fit without issue?

Stock tire is 27.7" tall.
295/35 is 27.1" tall. I'd go with this.
305/30 is only 26.3" tall.

Or get PSS in the 305/35. I did on a 11" +55 lowered on 1/2" lowering (steeda min drop) no issues. I believe others also use PSS in rear and PS4S in front.

Thank you I definitely won’t be going with the 30 side wall as it’s my daily rn and I sometimes have to drive to the city. It just sucks that they don’t have 305/35 in ps4s. How big is the difference between the 2, I know the ps4s is more comfortable. I guess it comes down to if the little bit of comfort is worth the grip difference between 295 and 305.

This^^^^^

I got the MIch PS4S up front in 285/35/19 and the 305/35/19 with Mich PSS. To be frank the PSS has a better feel. Unfortunately they don't make the 285/35/19 Mich PSS without it being a RFT.

Here is a side shot so you can see the profile. The 285/35/19 and 305/35/19 keeps the OEM overall diameter to within a pretty close margin.

My car started out as a 300a PP1 car, fits no issues. mods in sig.

Full disclosure. I got the idea of PSS in 305/35-19 FROM Dave2013M3!
My car.

Not sure if this will help but my '19 Gt PP2 comes stock with 305/30R19. Of course, the PP2 does have different wheel well liners or so I have heard. This may help with fitment for me. Not sure about your car. I also do have a winter setup using 275/35R19 Blizzak LM-32 without issue.

Offset were
Front: 24
Rear: 48

Since the PP2 is listed as being 1/2" lower than the other GT's, I was wondering how much lower your setup is lowering the car from stock? My PP2 is 5.25" ground clearance (published).

I ask b/c I scrape the splitter on just about most driveway aprons and parking lot aprons unless I am going in at a 45deg. Some speedbumps come real close and the concrete space dividers will not always clear.

Any thoughts on the impact to lowering the car will have to daily driving?

Honestly if I run into fitment issues I’m probably just gonna get done adjustable coil overs and while I’m at it get some vertical links and adjustable toe. Any recommendations on some affordable good for daily coil overs. I’d prefer adjustable ride higher and dampening so I can put it on pretty soft for day to day use stiffen em up for track, I’ll rarely be tracking just a few times a year and some passes at the drag strip, but mostly spirited driving. I’ve heard good things about bc racing and they’re a lot more affordable compared to other brands

My setup is 20x9 & 20x11 Ferrada wheels on Continental Extreme DWS 06 tires (275/35/20 & 315/35/20). Performance Pack car dropped on Ford X springs. No rubbing or issues at all. Daily driven.

I'd just go 19x10 square and call it a day. Never worry about mismatched height tires, gain the ability to rotate and more balanced. But either way...you shouldn't rub with that setup. I'm currently 1.25" lower in front on 19x10 et40 w/ 285/35/19 tires and don't rub. Have been between -1.5 and -2.4 front camber. 35 offset will give more inner clearance.

I have the same size wheels. I went with the Pilot Super Sport. 285/35/19 front and 305/39/19 rear. If I buy tires again, I will go with 275 up front so the sidewall stretch is the same. With the current set the rear seems to stretch over more than the front.

I can't speak as to the difference between the two models of tire, but the difference in comfort and ride quality between a 30 side wall and a 35 side wall is noticeable, in my experience.

I had a huge problem with rubbing when I had 275/35/19 front and 295/35/19 rear with the Ford Performance Track kit. Going to a 285/35/19 frt and 305/35/19 rear that alleviated a lot of the issues, well made it more manageable. You could go with the GT350 sizing which is 295/35/19 front and 305/35/19 rear. That will helpm, with 305/30/19 that is just a 26.3" tall tire. You go with a 295/35/19 front (27") and a 305/35/19 rear (27.4") it raises the car up enough to help with not rubbing.

I wonder what is different between a factory Performance Package 2 and a Ford Performance kit?

Is it the PP1 equipment that is causing rubbing? I have a feeling the offsets are very different between PP1 and PP2.

One difference in a PP2 that might allow me to run 275/35/19 (aftermarket winter wheel I think are ET: Fr;22, Rr:45 Stock are Fr:24, Rr:48) without rubbing might be the offset. I know the PP1 wheels are set in more so unless you got new wheels with a different offset, that could be why your 275 rubbed and mine did not.

What offset did you use that caused rubbing? Did you also get a realignement?

Sorry, you misunderstood. I get no rubbing. It was ground clearance I was referring too. Scraping underneath the vehicle.
