Looks great, congrats on the new purchase! The yellow label is already supercharged and I know it has upgraded suspension parts. Iām not sure Iād do anything to that car if it were me.
Mind if I ask what kind of a deal you got on it?
Mine still likes to rattle when popped up like that, although a bit less :headbang:. I may mess with it this weekend and will let you know if something works. It bugs the crap of me as well! The only solution that currently works is windows down, but it's been 100+ for more than 30 days straight...
I'm able to apply pressure in the middle/front of the piece (from underneath) and it pops out. Putting it back in place is what makes me think I'm going to break it!
Are you thinking about applying felt tape around the back that comes into contact with the rest of the cluster or where specifically?
The plastic piece between the speedometer and tachometer on my standard instrument cluster has an annoying rattle. Picture below for reference. I know it's the problem because if I use a little force to push and hold it back against the cluster, the rattle stops. Has anyone else had this issue...
My setup is 20x9 & 20x11 Ferrada wheels on Continental Extreme DWS 06 tires (275/35/20 & 315/35/20). Performance Pack car dropped on Ford X springs. No rubbing or issues at all. Daily driven.
Sounds good! I started with the Corsa and a resonator delete x pipe. Eventually moved up to headers. As others have said, headers will really up the volume level. Iām just glad I have active exhaust for the early morning cold starts.
Just renewed in January and saw similar increases around 20%. Questioned my insurance provider and they said all their clients were experiencing it due to āthe rising cost of labor, material and parts.ā
Good thread idea! šš»
For me itās
ā91 5.0 LX Hatch
ā97 Cobra
Looking back I understand why I got rid of them at the time, but for sure wish I hadnāt!
Iām on Mustang #4 now. In order of my ownership:
91 LX 5.0 in Opal Frost. Had around 32k original miles when I picked it up in 2008. H/C/I and sounded great.
97 Cobra bought it bone stock. Only kept it for around a year but added an x-pipe and LM1 mufflers. This car was SO loud and my 23 year...
Been starting to think about changing my setup as well. Currently running Texas Speed LTHs, X-pipe & Corsa Extreme axlebacks. Itās very loud (which I love), but it does get a little ātinnyā at higher rpmās. I wish it were a deeper, more muscle car tone. Easiest change seems to be swapping the X...
Mine turns 4 in April and I'm around 26,000 miles. It's my daily driver, but I've been working from home for almost 3 years. Put around 12,000 miles on it that first year, so not having a commute has made a big difference!
+1 for checking battery connections. I was having battery issues due to a corroded positive-side battery terminal. Battery checked out fine when tested. I cleaned the corroded terminal a few times and it just kept causing issues. Eventually bought a new terminal from Ford, put the battery on a...
I probably average 12-15 mpg with mixed driving (mostly city). Around 20 mpg on longer highway trips. I should mention I'm on E85 so that definitely deflated my numbers. On 93 I was averaging 18 mpg mixed and 22-24 on the same highway trips.
I have these mods and stayed with just 93 octane for about a year before making the swap to an E85 tune. I also thought about sticking with the flex tune, but Lund seemed to really disagree with keeping the tune full time and instead advised only using it as a holdover until the tank was full of...
Agreed! I have the Safe & Smart package on my '19 and the wire tap was easy (installed 3+ years ago so can't remember the tap location), but I gave up on the blendmount. I had used it on my '11 and on my '16 ScatPack, but just didn't work well for me on the '19. I switched to the suction cup...
