I'm always curious how IT folks choose their careers. I'm a relatively green project manager (4.5 years). What started you in such a specific field?46, I do UNIX/Linux/Storage/Virtualization architecture and engineering for a Fortune 100 tech company.
It's probably based on where they can get paid the most...all of my IT friends followed the money.I'm always curious how IT folks choose their careers. I'm a relatively green project manager (4.5 years). What started you in such a specific field?
I've been in the field for about 25 years. It was initially a hobby that got out of control when I found out I could get paid for it. The average salary is good for the kind of work I do. But, for me the money was secondary.I'm always curious how IT folks choose their careers. I'm a relatively green project manager (4.5 years). What started you in such a specific field?
which seems to be the opposite of the mindset the younger folks have nowadays.
