As some of you might have read I'm having some shifting issues with my car. I started a thread about it possibly being TOB related, however unfortunately that thread got little traction. My main issue I had was with high rpm lockouts, however I noticed that I couldn't shift into 2nd gear when the car was over 40 mph and I can't help but think my issues with high rpm lock outs and this issue are related somehow. I've never had a car that wouldn't let me select a gear like this before. I've tried Rev matching it also with 0 effect. Any ideas? Just trying to get some solid info before I start throwing more money at the problem.

My car has a Ben calimer stage 2 trans, spec twin disk clutch, original TOB, MGW shifter, Ram clutch height pedal adjuster.

Isn't there a shift lock-out to prevent a money-shift?

Could be one of your trans mods has messed with that?

Well, I've never heard of that but I suppose it is possible. I don't remember it doing it when it was stock though, and 40 mph seems like a pretty low place to engage that. How I would have messed with it I don't know. I've never heard anyone mention anything like it while dealing with a clutch and I've been reading a lot of stuff trying to figure some of my issues out here lately.

Try to rev match by double clutching and see if that works.

I've tried Rev matching it, but I'll try double clutching to see if that does anything. I would imagine that if it was a synchro issue then the gear would grind or something, not just act like the gear isn't even there right?
