And what a contrast between Pan and the co-owners of Armour Detail Supply!

Armour Detail Supply have grown remarkably well, driven by positive word of mouth and exposure by key some influencers. They engage with their customers in a positive, supportive manner, which backs up their exceptional product line. Every interaction I've had with Bradley and DJ has been positive, they share my social media posts, they are active in the comments to assist and educate. The products speak for themselves! Considering the age of the company, they have nailed it.

Clean by Pan on the other hand couldn't be any different. I don't think there is any question regarding the quality of the products, he was right to seek out the best of the best to deliver products that met his (and others) standards. The presentation is fantastic. He had a huge audience to draw from. So, to be so bold to tell the world his products are the best bar none was somewhat arrogant. Then to go on and award all of his products 1st place in the silly yearly awards video, well that was plain stupid, and stupid was the word used by someone I know in the industry. But to then go on and debate, argue and ridicule his "loyal" audience, deleting comments, deleting videos............................well that is not how to build a business.

And the sad thing is, the products might be good, but now he has undermined that excellence by being a jackass.
He hasn’t lost any measurable amount of followers. He was at 1.04 Million subscribers before the “best of” debacle and he still is at 1.04M.

This is the best I have seen expressed over the Pan thing..........................

That’s what most of the complaints were before he deleted the video. His credibility is now in question (or more so) due to his conflict of interest in his “Best of” vid.

Seems as though he’s following through on deleting negative comments on his videos too. Just scrolled through the comments on his rinseless video he posted yesterday, not one critical comment on there. Seems like good products but if he’s going to delete critical comments, that doesn’t help those that are trying to get real feedback on his line of stuff. Looks like there’s a few smaller channels that have used a few of his products so hopefully there are more to come.

Yeah I’ve watched a few small channel reviews and so far they’ve all been positive. Longevity of some products are yet to be determined.

Anyone here used Yvan’s DIY Detail coating yet? My Ethos coating is holding up well but I’ve noticed a few spots that are breaking down a little. It’s a 3-5 year coating and I’m at just past year 2 now, so I’m not totally surprised given I drive my car every day, including on salted winter roads.

Wash thinking of polishing out the car in the spring and applying a new coating. The DIY Detail coating seems easy to apply and really seems to shed water well (both on DIY Detail’s channel as well as other detail channels). Am also thinking of using Blue Collar 7 (Apex Detail’s coating). Want to try something a little different.

Its on my short list for sure. My Mach 1 has a decent coating on it now, but I am thinking about doing his "Stack" in the future. The 8 year, topped with the 3 year. He goes in depth of all the strengths of each version (3,5,8) and the 8 topped with 3 sounds the best to me. The initial prep is the hard work, stacking 2 coats isn't too bad... My next one would be either Gyeon MOHS or the new ADS "Consumer" coating.

Great video from a channel I have never come across before.
Seems like a fair and reasonable assessment.

Pan the Organiser = Pan de Monium

Having said that though, who is behind the Hold My Beer Detailing channel?
There is no real detail on the About Us page either.
https://holdmybeerdetailing.com/about-us/

To me, being anonymous can also be a red flag for credibility.

And I've only started doing the 2 bucket method in recent months!

You can do 2 bucket with one or two wash mitts or you can do 1 bucket with like 4 or 5 wash mitts. 1 mitt per panel then just toss to the side to be washed out later.

My process exactly. 2 buckets. 1 for wheels, 1 for paint. Multiple mits, usually 4-5 to be exact.. Very clean and efficient. Plus a pre soak and rinse to get all grit off the paint...

I was looking at doing the Stack too. Might just do the 8 year on its own too. There’s so many good coatings out there now, hard to choose

True that :) very overwhelming at times. But like I said, I have a few on my short list. I busted open a bottle of NV Nova Evo a couple weeks ago I had on hand, and installed on my bumpers when I removed the PPF and polished. Just did a quick rinseless wash today after a drive and it beads like a MF. I hope it works well long term, have heard really good things about it too... It's an OG Graphene hybrid, a very old formula but I hope it works well.. Gotta figure out something to use the rest on since I have opened the bottle, need to use it up before it expires...

Should work well on your wheels I would think. I used a regular coating on my summer wheels and it’s held up well. They still bead very nicely. I was kind of surprised. Was going to go back to a dedicated wheel coating when I pull them off in November, but I don’t think I’ll need to.
