She has been a needy bish. Currently have 39760k miles and about 1 year left on powertrain time wise. Paid it off 6 months ago so unless she completely shits herself, I will continue to take the payments and stash it away for a transplant. I hate her but love her more.
it sounds like you beat the shit out of your car

Nothing has broken as yet but I do have a small oil leak on a car that is only several months old. Also have a squeak from the back, took it in and they said it was the seat but its back and even louder.

Believe it or not the car has never been over 100mph, never drag raced, never used launch control or line lock. It has just been a flop from day one.

I'm not even at 3k on mine and something is up with the brake booster. Pedal is hard, but its random. Some mornings its fine, others not. I think its the valve. Need to take it in, but I'm dreading the dealer. Cant complain though, thats the only issue.

I believe it. I've heard that Ford isn't really reliable.

Water Pump bearing 'disintegrated' which caused the water pump to seize and shred both belts as well as bathe the engine bay in coolant. Replaced water pump and both belts under powertrain warranty. 47800 miles.

I bought a 2016 GT a few months ago without really considering the reliability of the thing. It's the first Ford I've ever owned and I remember being told a lot as a kid that American made cars are garbage in that regard. My wife who was my girlfriend at thr time bought a 2003 Taurus and it died since the transmission went out. That was my fault. I should not have trusted the sellers that it was maintained. I drained the transmission oil and about 3 months later thr gears couldn't touch each other as I took out all the metal slag. Anyways, I bought the GT at 42k miles and put on about 4k myself. Another 4k will put me at 50k. Yeah, it's my daily for now and will be for a few years. Glad I got the manual clutch, but I heard it's a terrible gearbox. It's the base model with almost no options. It has the Airaid intake and muffler delete. Previous owner also put 20 inch Nich rims. If I drive it hard in the power band, it still smells weird. Makes me wonder if the dealer did a rebuild on it...

So, what's your odometer at and what's broke so far?
Bought new at 2 miles, has just under 42k, with the last 20k of them supercharged. Zero issues. Zilch, zip, nada. Also that smell is called cat over temp.

Oh, seriously? I thought it was the engine! How does that work? Would a high performance cat help?

When you’re really cranking on it the cat temp rises exponentially, so the computer dumps a lot of fuel to cool them off. Sound counter productive to the situation, I know, but the heat is generated by too much air burning through (lean situation), so the fuel dump riches it up to the extreme, cools them off and gives off the distinct odor I suspect you’re smelling when getting on it. Cat over temp protection can be tuned out, and eliminated with the cats being removed. Dont believe high flow will make a significant difference in that regard.

Will we who stay stock go through cats quickly?

Maybe a little quicker but I doubt it would be anything noticeable. The strategy keeps the cats happy for the most part. And if you’re otherwise stock in the right areas, federal emissions covers cat replacement for 8 years 80k miles.
