I custom ordered a 2018 Mustang. Someone on here found one exactly like my car in Baltimore. The salesman said the car will be built starting today. And he thinks he will receive it by the end of this month. The only thing is I would have to fly to Baltimore look at the car then buy it then get it transported down to NC. What would you do? Get the car you custom ordered (which might get here in December) or get the car out of Baltimore?

Go get it... Waste of Money, time, sure... But much as I love my ruby I would love an orange popsicle mustang in my driveway.

My parents don't want me to lose my $1,000 deposit. Which I really don't care about. I could at least see if everything matches up and if it does get it. If not don't.

Well you do already have a mustang. You could wait, I wouldn't want to throw away a thousand bucks, that's a lot of mods.

$1,000 is a lot. You could do a full ceramic tint and a CAI for that kind of money. Or it's 2 or 3 extra car payments for most of us.

It is a lot of money. I guess I just think its worth more to get my car faster than waiting till January or February. The way Ford is going right now.

Listen to your parents. Car salesmen are known to be liars.

Salesman THINKS he'll receive it by the end of the month.... I would hold on to your order. Not only would you loose your deposit, but travel expense there and what if isn't exactly the same, etc. Transport fees could run you $500 in all you could pay an addition $2k.

I wouldn't lose a grand just to have it sooner plus the expenses of flying and transporting. Be patient and it will come soon enough. Even if you did fly out I would drive it back.

I wouldn't throw a grand out the window...plus all the costs associated with getting the other car...

However if it makes you feel better I have some parts you could buy me.... :D

I would wait! I waited 12 months for my 2017 and I tell you what it was well worth the wait!

Congrats on the 2018 Mustang!!

He is full of crap and doesn't know when it will come in. Even better, wait for the surprise dealers fees or other mark-up when you travel all the way up there. He knows you are not going to go back empty handed, you're already impatient enough to cough up an extra grand in lost deposit. He'll know he has a live one.
