I know I know, kind of a click-bait subject, but I’m genuinely curious. For a lot of us this car checks all the boxes. Power can be added fairly reliably with the 5.0 so for me I don’t see an increased horsepower from the box being a major incentive. What would make you consider a switch to a new mustang trim (S650 and all future special editions)?

Nothing I see right now. More likely to just get an itch for something else and it would be out of the mustang brand or I d stick with this package.
It s got it all together for my needs/wants.
enough power, correct 6 speed, great sound, comfortable, not rare that I m afraid to drive it or leave it parked or put miles on it, most reliable IMO, pretty good on gas too(don t HAVE to run 93). It s numbered (which doesn t mean much) Got it at the right price so it s a value.

well, Iwill be spending some 8k in payments watching my car while I cannot drive it. And there is a small chance it will take much longer than expected before I can drive it again (still a small chance I have to get foot amputated to be able to walk again, modern prothesis are pretty good) but at least even then ill be able to drive it one day.

So....nearly nothing would get me to sell it.

I spent about 2 hrs last Friday on a track behind the wheel of an AMG GT-R. It would have me saying adios to my M1 in a heartbeat if I could stomach the price tag ($200k). Front engine, rear wheel drive just like the S550 but twin turbos on the V-8, and 4 wheel steer. Braking was amazing, handling incredible, power was refined and predictable. Amazing track car.

Nothing! My first car was a '69 Mach 1 and this one is a celebration of my car "heritage"! It's just plain fun to drive, even for errands, and it still gets attention since there are so few up here in New England (US).

A really ridiculous amount of money.

(Best wishes, Jimmy Dean.)

While I don't personally own a Mach 1, i've been scouring the for sale markets for a 10-14 Grabber Blue GT500/Roush for the last several months. I've noticed almost twice the amount of 21+ Mach 1's for sale in the last month, than there were previously. I first noticed many dealers advertising new, for sticker or below, then I noticed several used low mile cars in the low-mid $50s range. It could just be the seasonal uptick in sports car sales, or offloading to upgrade to a new Darkhorse, or any other possibility I suppose. There definitely are quite a few on the market currently, just thought i'd share an observation.

A life event. Something which would prevent me from driving or looking after the car. I intend to keep Skye until I can no longer drive any vehicle.

Saving for, purchasing and now looking after the vehicle involved setting and still accomplishing a series of personal goals. I appreciate and enjoy all kinds of cars, but there isn't anything else so overwhelming and in the same budget bracket which would entice me to sell. Skye hits the sweet spot in virtually every objective and subjective category I can think of. YMMV.

Absolutely nothing right now. But I would love to add a GT350 + GT500 + a Raptor R to my collection but that would be down the line.
