God damnit I wish I could justify those Welds to my wife... I mean, I could... but she may want me to sell the spare set of PP rims in my closet! Plus these just look too good. I'd buy a set of cheap rims but I don't want to swap all the time for the strip.

Currently running Mickey SS’s. 305/45/17.

Full hook at 17psi air pressure @ 25mph. 3.23 0-60 so far, but working at getting that to 2.99. Stock suspension.

Nitto NT05 are holding up well, some spinning in second but holds 3rd really well. My car isnt a drag car and I enjoy corner carving. Gen 5 Whipple car.

I can also attest to the NT555R2's on my 14'. At 850 whp and 24 psi in the tires i was actually getting traction in 2nd gear which i couldnt get with the original NT555R's I had on there before. Running 305/40R18 on 18x11 forgestars.

Seems like most like the NT55R2. How are they on curves and at speed? I want traction but not at the cost of handling. My priority is not straight line traction.

555r2's corner very well for a drag radial, no sway or queasy feeling.

The sidewalls don't wrinkle.

NT05's here, not the R's, in a 305 width.

Runs 1.7's 60' at the strip leaving off idle, hooks in 2nd onward full power on the street above 70 degrees ambient. They wear great, usually last a year to a year and half with about 100 dragstrip passes during race season, plus street use.

Never have to change the wheel/tire to go racing, just show up, run, go home and they still hook pretty good on the street.

I have a set of Mickey SS's that I use if I want to get the most out of the setup at the strip, however best 60' to best 60' the Mickey's only get about .1-.15 better 60'. However, I am stock suspension and running a 35 series tire so I still cannot leave anything over 9-1100 rpm without wheelspin in 1st at the strip, but it dead hooks on the NT05's every time that way.

If I had a real slick, with a sidewall/bubble, could probably get another .1 off the 60' and be in the 1.5's give/take, as the Mickey's run 1.64. Car is all stock with cats/A6 car less the Whipple 750HP stage 1 kit, pump 91 octane, dyno'd 643 at the wheels.
