Sorry if the question has been asked... Could not find the post. I have the Michelin P4S on now but I really cannot hook well in 1 or 2 and part of 3. I was thinking of R888R or NT01

Either of those would be an improvement over your current tires.

Aren't the Mickey Thompson something somethings supposed to be the go-to for straight line speed?

I'm running Nitto 555rii. When warm, a little spin on the shift to 2nd and almost no spin on most shifts to 3rd. These shifts are not done at redline, however. Plus, I am talking about on the street. OP, I am guessing you are referring to hooking on the street vs the strip?

In case interested, there are a few threads with people posting up on how they like them.

Your looking for a summer only tire right? Make sure you know the limitations of the tires you pick. If they hook then they might not be able to be used in the winter. Make sure you know what you are getting

Good advice Jackson, due to the OP being in Miami, I have a feeling that he is not looking for an all-season tire.

I would not think he would have any problems in Miami. I don’t normally look at where people are from. Miami you can run drag radials year round but you will probably need 4 sets a year

If a dd and not a dedicated track setup definitely 555r2. Can hook power but handle dd duties including rain.

This... But then again, I live somewhere that I don't have to swap for the winter :p

DD means to Circle K and back lately though....

I get about 6000 miles out of my DR's.. 555R's or 555R2's. And quite a bit of 1/4 mile runs.
