I remember when I was putting a aftermarket hood on mine and people were saying when you sell it you will lose money, why would you chose that, or it will be hard to sell it like that. People modify their cars the way they like them(I hope). If your doing it because someone else said they like it that way, your doing it wrong.
I like what I have done to all my vehicles. Sure if someone else gives you props or you inspire someone to be creative with what they got that’s a bonus.

Mustangs are among the most modded vehicles on the market. I think personalization, creativity and thinking outside the box is far more interesting than copying what other people do or trying to please others.

I cringe at mods that hurt performance or drivability but otherwise I dont care what others do to personalize their cars.

I was responding to Brucelinc's comment about no stripes on any mustang except Shelbys. But I actually misinterpreted his comment. You are right, the stripes on this car look bad but I wouldn't waste my time worrying or carrying about someone else's car.

Those look better. And the factory won't put them on a Bullitt.

I like stripes...just not necessarily traditional Shelby stripes on a non Shelby car. I went with something that I hadn't seen much of before. Not everyone would like it but I wanted to tie in to the black roof but also the showstopper red seats. Some will like it and some will hate it. LOL

The Bullitt is a tribute to the movie. The car in the movie didn't have stripes.
Besides, stripes hint at racing, while the original wasn't a race car, it was just the lowly daily driver of a policeman. An understated car, which could tear up the tarmac if it had to, but wouldn't advertise it.
I think that's what Nova means. And I tend to agree.

Thanks. Oh yeah, I remember that movie now. I guess I never really noticed the car, more attention paid to the insane jumps. I wonder how many cars they actually destroyed?
